Tobit claims to have been alive when Jeroboam revolted in 931 B.C. and 210 years later when Assyria conquered Israel in 721 B.C. Then it says in Tobit 14 that he was 112 when he died. Oops!

Almsgiving delivers from death and purges away every sin. Tobit 12:9 and Tobit 14:12.

So it’s almsgiving that purges your every sin and delivers from death?

OH, and was Sennacherib Shalmaneser’s son as it says in Tobit or was he the son of Sargon II as history shows?
