Pauline Prayer Pattern For Today
Today we have this prayer that God through the resurrected Christ gave to Paul to pray.
Today, prayer to God is what He wants from us, to be done in spirit and truth. We pray in Spirit, for His Holy Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26). We pray in Truth, for Christ is Truth (John 14:6). And our prayer pattern for today focus primarily on the spiritual inner man build-up and knowledge and growth in grace and maturity as a believer-saint and as sons of God (Romans 8:14, Galatins 4:5,6,7). For we know that our "God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). Since God supply all our need according to his riches, this automatically includes the common basic necesities to live on planet earth. Of course sometimes we lack these necesities, but not to worry, for the Holy Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26).
Today our prayer are primarily on the spiritual focus for our inner man to grow in the knowledge of God and the Lord Jesus Christ, not on the focus of the earthly physical necesities, nor for earthly riches, power, recognition, etc. God desires a spiritually mature believer-saint prayer.
Ephesians 3:14: For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Ephesians 3:15: Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
Ephesians 3:16: That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
Ephesians 3:17: That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
Ephesians 3:18: May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Ephesians 3:19: And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Ephesians 3:20: Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Ephesians 3:21: Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
In all this, we have this great confidence and assurance in God, which is - For we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
