By the same token, since morals, ethics, personal responsibility don’t seem to matter, the state has a duty to draw a “thin blue line” between those for who live in accordance to lax morals etc., and those who choose to.

If we could heal the culture, law enforcement could be minimized. Of course that’s self-evident. When we stop and think about healing the culture, and start healing the culture so that morals, ethics, and personal responsibility become intelligible again, we’ll be in the path to solving all sorts of problems.

In the mean time, we were left with the law.
