I have heard a lot of Mormons confess that Christ is Lord.

They also confess that they are a "lord"...and that all temple Mormons are eventual planetary "lords"...so, what they are confessing is hardly pure lordship.

Prove the ridicule...rather than just vaguely accuse...

(Or do you ALWAYS go around making unsubstantiated accusations?)

...i have no interest in picking out a group of people to try and convert.

And what's wrong with people who do? Are you upset with all the Christian missionaries out there?

Your response in #196 didn't address this matter.

If opposition to certain beliefs = “hate” then obviously you “hate” Elsie, Reaganaut, and myself...because you certainly don’t see eye to eye with us...and your accusatory expressions are rather hostile.

Have you SEEN what the OWNER of this site says about that ‘religion’ you are supporting?

That is a question based on a false pretense, i do not support Mormonism but you already know that.

2 Tim 2:12
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

I have no doubt the anti Mormon threads are posted out of an honest intention to expose a false Church but then comes all of the comments, most of them anti Mormon comments, most of them looks more to me like persecution than anything else.

What about people who are new to this sort of stuff maybe young people who sincerely want to lead Christian lives, people who really want to do as Jesus says?

2 Tim 2:12
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Would,nt they think that the Mormons were the ones who were trying to live Godly lives since they were the ones being persecuted? no, of course you would not be able to see that would you.

Jesus said his people would be hated for his namesake,

Jesus did not tell his people to go out and hate and persecute, he said they would be hated and persecuted.

Matt5:39
But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

There again you have some one verbally slapping Mormons around and there are very few if any Mormons defending them selves, what would that say to the new comers?

I am sure that you would say they do not defend them selves because they can,t and that may be true but if i was a new comer ( oh God i wish, i wish ) and had been reading the Gospel of Jesus i would not see these people who were persecuting some one to be Christian.

But of course you and the others would deny that it is persecution, and you may be right but that is what it looks like to me.

Luke 6:42
Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

You seem to think of Mormonism as a false religion, i don,t think of it is a false religion i think it is religion, and in a sense maybe we need to get this mote (religion) out of our own Church before we start wanting to get it out of other Churches.

You also make a lot of what Jesus says to the religious leaders, but you don,t seem to see that there is a difference, in the first place Jesus and also Paul were preaching to their own people, they had a right to being there and doing that.

But they confronted them face to face, lets see you go to the Mormon temple and do the same thing, if you do that then i will write what a brave one you are and how right you are.

I had to think about as to how i feel about that, i have lived in Mormon country for many years and still do for that matter and if a Mormon missionary ever visited me i can not remember when.

The J.Vs are the only missionaries that i have ever had visit me, and that has been many times, most of them nice people, i invite them in and we get along fine, just one exception to that, these particular ones scraped the dust from their feet on the door step.

I do not believe in a lot of their doctrine but some things i agree with, i won,t say what these are because that would just be fodder for another argument.

So to answer your question, no i have no objection to missionaries inviting people to their Church to hear the gospel.

As to the rest of it i attempted to explain to Elsie why the comment section to the article brings out the worst in me but it was most likely a waste of type, you can read it in the comment section.

Just more words words words, more accusations.

I hate backseat quarterbacks who have never played.

The above was directed at me but i have enough sense by Gods grace to not take it that he literally hates me but i guess i could make a big deal out of it and accuse him of hating me.

But you are absolutely right, i do not see it your way at all.

Glad to hear this.

Too bad it was NOT evident from some of your earlier posts where you appear to be; if not 'supporting', per se, then at least defending them from us perfect, bashing, ridiculing and hating 'christians'.

168 Me too. or any one else who thinks they are so perfect.

171 I have heard all of the accusations against Romney before, how many are because he is a Mormon? the reason i ask that is because i have seen so many Mormon bashing comments here before.

185 But that is not what happens, So much of the ridicule that the Mormons get on these threads have nothing to do with the gospel.

195 But i don,t know much about Romney except what you have said and since you seem to hate Mormons so much how can i do anything except take it with a grain of salt?.

196 You are using this site to ridicule people of another religion,

205 You seem to think of Mormonism as a false religion, i don,t think of it is a false religion i think it is religion, and in a sense maybe we need to get this mote (religion) out of our own Church before we start wanting to get it out of other Churches.

O168 Me too. or any one else who thinks they are so perfect.
right.

171 I have heard all of the accusations against Romney before, how many are because he is a Mormon? the reason i ask that is because i have seen so many Mormon bashing comments here before. exactly, i can show you the very comment i was referring to.

185 But that is not what happens, So much of the ridicule that the Mormons get on these threads have nothing to do with the gospel. that also is right.

195 But i don,t know much about Romney except what you have said and since you seem to hate Mormons so much how can i do anything except take it with a grain of salt?. Amen

196 You are using this site to ridicule people of another religion,. well it kind of speaks for itself.

205 You seem to think of Mormonism as a false religion, i don,t think of it is a false religion i think it is religion, and in a sense maybe we need to get this mote (religion) out of our own Church before we start wanting to get it out of other Churches. Amen.

If you want to be religious you certainly should join the Mormon Church unless you are in a Church almost or as religious as the Mormons.

And that is the reason i posted the commit to you about the Church of Rome being the great whore, but i noticed you have remained very silent about it.

You seem to believe in turning the other cheek when it comes to your Church, by being an example of a real Christian, it is too bad it does not extend to other Churches.

So since maybe you missed the article, here it is again.

Elsie, as i have said i do not make war on any Church and especially its members, because i know a lot of dammed good people from every Church, so the view below is not mine and i simply don,t know that much about the Catholic Church, even so i have had an admiration for her.

But if what the article says is true then that would make all of the protestant Churches the daughters of the Catholic Church,

ROME - the whore of revelation 17
Are you offended already? Please don’t be. My purpose is only to get you to think. If, after viewing the following, you still believe the church of Rome is the true church, then you will have strengthened your own understanding of what you believe. The scriptures below speak of some city on this earth that was extant during the time of the Apostles, and is still around today. If you are Catholic, I am not writing against you! I only wish to present what the Bible says about your church. I welcome any correspondence about the views expressed on this page. Let’s just try and be honest and keep emotion out of our reasoning process. Fair enough? Then read on. The scriptures used are from the King James Version, but you are encouraged to look them up in your Catholic Bible! There will be little difference.

Revelation (Apocalypse)17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will show unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

6.And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

Notice several things about this “woman”.

1. The woman sits on many waters.
Letting the scriptures interpret themselves, what do the many waters represent?

Verse 15.” And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.”
She “sits” on “many” waters. She has some influence over “many” peoples.

2. The woman is a city.
Verse 18.” And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.” - We are looking for a city that has influence over many people, nations and tongues.

3. She (the city) is “drunken” with the blood of the saints and martyrs. She is a “religious” city. (All Christians in the Bible are called “saints” - before thier deaths!) This is a hard one. Anyone honest enough to research the history of the Roman church will find hundreds of thousands of real Christians murdered by the “woman” who is a “city”. What else can we learn about her?

4. She is riding a “scarlet coloured beast”.

Verse 3 “[A]nd I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.” Is the beast defined? Yes, it is Satan himself.

Verse 8 “The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.”

He is the master deceiver! 1 Corinthians 11:14,15 declares, “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” Satan’s ministers show up as good, upright “ministers” or “priests”. They speak of righteousness and goodness, yet they are the ministers of Satan! They are deceived, and deceiving millions!

Many will wonder when they find that although they were faithful to their religion (think clearly now!), their names are not written in the book of life! How tragic!

5. It is called “Mystery” Babylon. It is not the literal city of Babylon, but a city that is associated with the Babylonian mystery religious system (see Hislops Two Babylons).

6. The city sits on seven mountains, or hills.

What city on earth will match the above? Think! What are the “colors” associated with that city? (The Vatican) The city is a political-religious entity. It “rules”, i.e., has strong political influence over the nations of the earth. The city is Rome. There is no other city on earth that, to an honest mind, meets the requirements of the Scripture. The city has a religion associated with it. It is the Roman Catholic religion. Now, before you cry “bigot” and click away somewhere, please at least give it some honest thought. The Bible says “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8,9). How does that verse square with all the “works” required by Catholicism. Confession, baptism, the Mass, penance, the rosary, the stations of the cross, the seven sacraments. Even marriage is called a “sacrament” (i.e. some work whereby one can “merit” grace). Roman Catholics believe it is a sin to believe that you can know where you are going upon death. Yet, John the apostle wrote in his 1st epistle, chapter 5, verse 13 “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. “

My heart aches for so many thousands of dear Catholic people who sincerely believe everything their church has told them. And yet very little of it can be found in the Bible. If you have read this far, and have questions or comments, I will write to any and all who respond with an honest heart. Please don’t be among those who, with surprise, find out too late that their names are missing from the Book of Life.
Evidence from Rome herself that she is the Harlot Woman of Revelation (Apocalypse) Chapter 17. (reproduced from Hislops The Two Babylons see below)

The Apocalyptic emblem of the Harlot woman with the cup in her hand was embodied in the symbols of idolatry derived from ancient Babylon. It is singular that in our own day, the Roman Church has actually taken this very symbol as her own chosen emblem. In 1825, on the occasion of the jubilee, Pope Leo XII. struck a medal, bearing on the one side his own image, and on the other, that of the Church of Rome symbolized as a “woman,” holding in her left hand a cross, and in her right a CUP, with the legend around her, “Sedet super universum,” “ The whole world is her seat.”

Reproduced here is a cut of that medal taken from the book The Two Babylons by Alexander Hislop, published in America by Loizeaux Brothers Inc. In England by A & C , ltd. The book proves clearly and conclusively the connection between the ancient Babylonian mystery religions, and the Church of Rome.

It is NOT a game, it is very serious. I care and I am called to this ministry.

The Mormons are the pharisees, not us. I am not in the least phoney. I understand the LDS and I care. You don’t seem to. You are the one on here hijacking the thread.

Why don’t you actually READ THE BOOK IN THE OP and find out what Mormonism REALLY is and how they lie to people like you.

Do your research rather than claim I am phony.

If that is how it came out i apologize

But here is your comment to me, at least i did not say i hate you.
Your words

I hate backseat quarterbacks who have never played.

I am not a quarterback in the back seat either what the hell ever that means but i can see that it is an insult but that is alright, if i am not man enough to take it then it will be time for me to die or get into the kitchen with the women folk.

But you seem to think that i am the aggressor here or trying to make other people think so.

My first comment to you was number 8, i did not say anything about you but only made a very short comment in regards to the woman who was 30 years a Mormon and also a professor.

I pointed out that it just took me three Sundays to see through Mormonism, i am not a professor and in fact i did not even make it through grade school, which i did not point out.

I was not crediting my intelligence but was only saying that if it was so easy to see through that a dummy like me could figure it out so easy why would it take a professor 30 years, which makes me leery of the story to begin with.

I made no other comment to you until after you singled me out in your comment # 38 so you say its me hijacking the threads?

I guess you can believe what you want, most people generally do but why try to make it look like it is the fault of some one else?

And speaking of Mormon False doctrine, how long did it take you to figure it out?

Yeah, Joesph Smith must have been really something, getting the Catholics and protestants fighting two hundred or more years before he was even born.

Ssh, we better not bring attention to the Catholic,s because i am kinda partial to them.

I agree, but the thread is not about religion, it is about the false religion of the Mormon Church.

Just as if the other religions were fine, the Jewish religion was not fine and neither is any other.

Satan is the prime figure in any false Christian Church.

He is in any church for sure, he is any where that he can make war with the saints and persecute the woman who brought fourth the Child , the woman being the church.

He can never win the battle against this Spiritual woman but he has already turned this physical woman into the great harlot as well as her daughters as explained in rev. 17.
