Mary, Our Queen

How can we spend this day to show Mother Mary that we love her?
We might want to whisper a Hail Mary while we work or play, or spend some time saying the family rosary.
PRAYER ON MARY'S FEASTS
Blessed Virgin Mary,
Jesus gave you to me as my Mother
when He was dying on the Cross.
I want to love you as Jesus did.
I pray to you in these words:
Hail Mary, full of grace!
The Lord is with you;
blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of your womb, Jesus,
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour
of our death. Amen.

Today is the Memorial of the Queenship of
the Blessed Virgin Mary, honoring Mary as
Queen of Heaven. In 1954 Pope Pius XII
established universal observance of this feast
to the whole Church in his encyclical Ad
Caeli Reginam.
