This is lamentable pastoring. It follows from a bankrupt praxis generally.

I guess my approach here is to trace the smaller steps. What accounts for bankrupt praxis? She appears to justify this on the grounds that she means to wake people up, when all she has achieved is to make herself the topic of conversation.

Is that what her flock needs? What line of thought would reduce her claimed pastoral call to a bumper sticker? Will she be more effective in ministering to the elderly devout or in instucting children? Will she give good counsel to the despairing or wise rebukes to the proud?

Where does such a view of sacred ministry arise? What formation leads to this sort of thing? Whom is she serving?

If the gentlest examination can shatter this sort of behavior, how much more will it be pulverized by a more severe inquiry?
