Sorry coming back apparently late here.
pls see I’ve done a post (#27) and hope not to get this into a laughter thread.
Mrs Don-o, steve86 has amply answered but the assembled public dancing is below a bishop’s office. In this context they are demonstrating their ‘office’. That they are corresponding to youth who doubtlessly can’t easily distinguish sensuality from piety can easily be posited.
Their idea of gravity in worship is wrong should they think they have to right ANYTHING by this behavior. They are at least poor examples.
I very much agree w/ steve86 that should this be anything near (in physical place /time) a professed sacred rite it is plainly sinful, a violation of the solemnity demanded with Our Lord saying His House was one of PRAYER.
But my understanding is, this was not a Liturgy. It was some kind of non-liturgical song with gestures, like the kids do at VBS.
Is this a sin?
Really?
Oh, Don Bosco!
Yet posting number 6 showed the LORD blessing all those examples of prayerful, holy dancing, that is, the scripture passages. Likely in the Lord’s temple.
Plus also Brazil is a very musical culture.
“the assembled public dancing is below a bishops office.”
Scripture reference?
