I knew the second I saw the headline what happened. On the other hand, it’s been a few decades of this. These popes should be smart enough to know this is exactly what will be reported when they say something like this. It’s happened before.

But large media outlets, such as the BBC, often accused of promoting same-sex rights, were quick to report the story in accordance with their own biases. The BBC splashed this headline across its news site: “Pope Francis: Who am I to judge gay people?” Others followed suit, misleadingly implying that the Holy Father “doesn’t judge gay people.”

“The problem is the headlines,” he added, “and confusion over the meaning of the word 'gay.'”

Yesterday, FR ran the mainstream media reporting as their #1 Breaking News story for the entire day. Here is an opportunity for FR to re-educate their members on the truth of Catholic teaching.

The lesson in this is that all sincere Christians up to and including the Pope should not attempt to discuss homosexuality with the MSM or others who are hostile towards people of faith. Homosexual acts are sinful. The problem is active homosexuals who care nothing about faith are confused with sincere people of faith who may have a homosexual inclination but never act on it.

The MSM wants to muddy the waters and confuse the issue. The goal of the MSM is to promote homosexuality especially to young people.

Pope Francis’ comments on homosexuality . . . were largely misreported by the mainstream press

But then, who am I to judge?

I am sure the ‘biggest’ part of this problem is the Pope sort of ‘assumed’ that people KNOW/KNEW that one of the first laws/instructions to Priests is being Celibate.
Kind of like an economist addressing an assembly of Black people and using the N......ly word instead of Cheap.
Correct word but not quite the proper time and place.

If you follow RULE #1 and ‘keep it in your pants’ the rest all sort of fall into line and it doesn’t matter what your likes/dislikes are.

I had said at the height of the ‘scandal’ inre Priests/Altar Boys when the ‘powers that be were wringing their collective hands’ wondering what to do.

Enforce Rule #1. Priest gets suspended for breaking his vows, investigate and prosecute where and when necessary.

As long as the press etal continue to ‘listen’ to Biden and Pelosi when it comes to being Catholic, they will continue to ‘step on their tallywacker’ whenever the chance is there.

I know the Nuns never (actually) uttered the words
“That thing is for procreation NOT recreation”

Pope Francis’ comments on homosexuality during a press conference on the papal plane back from World Youth Day in Rio were largely misreported by the mainstream press, according to a Vatican official and a Church expert.

Dr. of Spin, is that a Jesuit specialty?

On his papal coat or arms he has a loose cannon?

Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided.

What planet is he on? This hasn't been a problem for 20 years. The problem now is discrimination against heterosexual people, normal families, and especially, their Christian religious beliefs. Come on pope, what about us???

LOL. Is that like knowing what the meaning of "is" is?
