I’ll bet they have an issue with the term “In Christ alone” as well.

I thought PCUSA would object to the "alone" part of "In Christ alone". I guess they're not ready to openly take that step - yet. Not until they fix John 14:6.

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

wow-if they don’t like God’s “wrath”, they better not read the Bible!

From what I’ve read, the Pagan Church USA gave that concept up decades ago.

This one was probably deleted a long time ago

WINDHAM

Broad is the road that leads to death,
And thousands walk together there.
But wisdom shows a narrow path,
With here and there a traveler.

The fearful soul that tires and faints,
And walks the ways of God no more.
Is but esteemed almost a saint,
And makes his own destruction sure.

“In Christ Alone” is one of the few modern songs my congregation regularly sings.

Based on what I’ve seen, PC USA is all about “Social Justice Jesus.”
Here is an awesome and relevant tweet from Pirate Christian Radio sent only a few minutes ago. If I knew how to paste a picture I would.

Luke 19:26-27 MKJV

(26) For I say to you that to everyone who has, more will be given. And from him who has not, even that which he has will be taken from him.
(27) But those who are my enemies, who did not desire that I should reign over them, bring them here and slay them before me.

I would have expected them to put it in their hymnbook with modified lyrics. That’s common enough.

Great song. As a gift, we had a professional calligrapher write the last verse, then we had it matted and framed for a friend who was facing cancer treatments. It was the “perfect” gift for her situation.

No guilt in life, no fear in death—
This is the pow’r of Christ in me;
From life’s first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No pow’r of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home—
Here in the pow’r of Christ I’ll stand.

Gah. The PCUSA can have their new and improved wrathless God. I'll stick to the Faith Once Delivered to the Saints:

Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to
grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin,
he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days,
and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

“Apparently the reason the Presbyterian Church USA doesn’t like “In Christ Alone (one of my favorites), is because of that unpopular, un-politically correct word, “Wrath.””

The reason the Presbyterian Church USA doesn’t like “In Christ Alone” is they shun the FEAR OF THE LORD.

JOHN 3:19-21

19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.

20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.

21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

PC should stand for “Politically Correct” instead of “Presbyterian Church” in the name of this group.

They might also have a problem with “GRACE ALONE.” I have to pull out a tissue every time we sing it.

It’s like I heard from an old Holiness preacher once, “You might as well board up the windows of the church and write ‘Ichabod’ above the doorposts.”

(For those not sure what I mean, the word ‘Ichabod’ is Hebrew for ‘the glory has departed’.)

This is not just the PC, it is spreading throughout the main line Church’s. The Dominion Heresy teach’s a non scriptural “happy clappy” theology that is morphing Churches from worship of God to worship of self. In the end, the false teaching of a “Great Revival” in the face of Christs statement of “When I return, will I find faith” will end up creating the Harlot that Rides the Beast, the False Church of the end times.

The teaching that in the end the Church will inherit the wealth of the sinners, wrest the reigns of control over the earth and deliver a redeemed earth for Christs return will play easily into the hands of the Anti-Christ.

We are watching the final Apostasy in the last days before our very eyes!
