If someone is offended by my beliefs on homosexuality, I tell them "Your issue is not with me. Your issue is with God. His Bible says this. I'm just quoting it or paraphrasing it. If that offends you, take that up with God. Tell Him what a homophobe He is. Tell Him that He engages in 'hate speech'. Go ahead. Blaspheme away."

Haha, that’s the exact same thing I tell people. If you don’t like what I’m saying, then take it up with God. They don’t have an answer for that.

I generally try to offer a secular argument that ancient Greece was rife with pederasty, in particular, but extended to other openly homosexual trysts as well. But same-sex “marriage” was never even suggested therein in any popular sense as I strongly suspect the Greeks knew it would wreck their whole societal structure.

Then I may cite the Bible’s condemnation of the practice, thereby trying to hit the argument from both sides.
