Why does Christ tell Peter, and no one else, to “feed my sheep”?

I recall that ol' Pete was getting chastised at the time. I seem to remember he was told that THREE times.

I wonder why?

Your point is, what?

The Church does not teach that the pope is impeccable, only that he teaches infallibly when he invokes that authority.

In the last two centuries, for example, that authority has only been invoked a handful of times.

And he was called Satan also.

Matthew 16:23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get you behind me, Satan: you are an offense unto me: for you consider not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
