I read the book, and it did not frighten me in the least, although this subject generally scares me. But I would recommend that you steer a wide path around the subject in general -- its just not something lay people should mess with in my opinion. Focus on whatever is good, whatever it light, whatever is pure, etc.
And do NOT touch a Ouija board. Don't even entertain the thought of messing with one. My dad had some very, very real and frightening experiences with a Ouija board. I promise you, it is not a toy, it is not a parlor game, it is a direct open portal to the deepest bowels of hell.
I agree. Stay clear of it. I never used it but experienced its after effect when house sitting. At the time I didn't know the owner used the ouija board. The first night I had entered a room where she used it. Prayer saved me as I tried to escape out of that house. I never went back figuring whatever was in that house will take care of it itself.
I agree with you about the Ouija Board. I had a fairly mild first experience with one at a childhood birthday party. My mother sternly convinced me it was a portal and I should never go near the occult. I passed that on to my daughter, who was getting interested in witch books encouraged in middle school. Stopped her budding interest cold.
