Glenn Beck Converts To Chrislam

June 10, 2013

By Theodore Shoebat

An excerpt:

... If we are eager to be equally yolked with Mormons as spiritual equals because of the charisma of Beck, then we will fall into accepting their theology, leading us further into welcoming Islam as an inspired religion. Yet this is exactly what Beck believes.

This error is that grave heresy which has been growing recently: chrislam. If you think Beck combats Islam, you are mistaken. He speaks out against terrorism yes, but not the source of it. He writes in one of his books, An Inconvenient Truth:

"I have read the Koran and can tell you that I unequivocally believe that Islam is a religion of peace."

Not only is Islam acceptable as the “religion of peace”, but invited everyone to get possessed by demons. As astonishing as it sounds, its true. Beck, in his book The 7 (co-athored with Keith Ablow), writes:

"Every major religion and culture has identified faith as a force that unlocks mysterious and magnificent energy. The Book of Mormon puts it simply and directly: ‘…Whenever men have sufficient faith, angels have ministered unto them.’ Hinduism, Taoism, Chinese popular religion, Siberian shamanism, and other traditions speak of a polestar. …You have a polestar inside you. It is connected with all the energy in the universe. When you begin to follow that star you align yourself with immeasurable, inexplicable forces that will actually help you manifest your best intentions."

Why is Beck so focused on doctrines of devils? Because it is a part of his religion which we are all now required to respect and accept. In fact, Beck’s prophet, Joseph Smith led the most radical form of chrislam, emulating Muhammad in both his heresy and his violence. He believed that “Mahomet [Muhammad] was a true prophet.” Joseph Smith once declared:

"I will be to this generation a second Mohammad, whose motto in treating for peace was ‘Alcoran or the Sword.’ So shall it eventually be with us–’Joseph Smith or the Sword.’" (See Alvin Schmidt, The American Muhammad, ch. 3, p. 60)

So intense was Smith’s emulation of Muhammad that some American news editors called him “the American Mahomet,” or “the yankee Mahomet.” (See historian Alvin Schmidt, The American Muhammad, ch. 1, p. 27) Apparently Americans were more astute and educated on such matters in Smith’s day, and if there was one thing I wish to revive in this country, it is this very erudition on cults, past and present.

Nothing is new under the sun. What Christians are unaware that what Beck is doing now is shockingly what the Mormons were already doing in the earliest days of Mormonism till now where volumes of support for Islam and Muhammad have been declared by the LDS. The first Mormons honored Muhammad as a prophet when they made a council specifically dedicated to appreciating Islam.

If Shoebat is an "idiot" what is Beck?

"It is not “Mormon-bashing” to be suspicious of the origin of the Book of Mormon...."

Not at all - merely common-sense.
The Holy Bible makes perfect sense from Genesis to Revelation and is supported by secular historians and modern archeology.
The Book of Mormon, on the other hand....

[Glenn Beck]”...he may one day be the deity of his own universe...”

In his own mind he already is. Check out his website.

I’m Catholic & it doesn’t bother me that the Mormon doctrine about alcohol is a major difference (not as major as LDS notions about the Divine). Didn’t start out that way as Joseph Smith drank & his followers used tobacco but Mormon revisionism knows no bounds.

Jesus’ first miracle was to change water into wine. Teetotalling denominations are at a loss to explain that away. Catholicism teaches alcohol should be used in moderation and that drunkeness is a sin.

I get it. I guess my point was, if you're a Catholic then alcohol is a neutral substance - it is up to you to practice self-control and decide when and how much is appropriate or inappropriate.

If you're LDS the decision is made for you - alcohol is evil and it is forbidden at all times.

For someone like Beck, whose lack of self-control with regard to alcohol almost ruined his life, a religion that simply forbids it as evil outright probably seems logical to him.

And yes, it is a mug's game to pretend that the Bible forbids alcohol.

On a related note, one of the things that turned me off Beck was his repeated reference to “Gandhi, Martin Luther King, and Jesus” as three MEN who changed history.

"Beck bashing is rampant on Freerepublic and it seems that anyone who has a slightly different take on a subject gets bashed too. Me included. If you don’t like Glenn Beck don’t read, don’t post. Simple as that!"

Really? What's next, the attempt by some Beck fangirls to have his threads given caucus status?

The tendency to screech "basher" at folks who don't go for Beck is pure emotionalism and, worse, a tactic that we normally see from leftwingers.

Actually, it is 6 years...2007. Check it on Amazon. Bush was still President.

If Shoebat is an "idiot" what is Beck?

I used to respect Shoebat. But this religious attack was beyond the pale. If he wants to den0ouce all Mormons, then go ahead. But he doesn't. He smears Beck, based upon NOTHING at all.

Wrong.

According to Amazon the hardcover first edition of The 7: Seven Wonders That Will Change Your Life by Beck and Ablow was published January 4, 2011.

He smears Beck, based upon NOTHING at all.

"Smears"? He takes Beck at Beck's own words.

You don't read so good, huh? I mentioned his reference to Islam as a "religion of peace"...which was mentioned in "In Inconvenient Book"...published in 2007, doofus.

Your sheer disdain comes through loud and clear. Do you hate Beck or Mormons?

How about you just steer clear of the Beck threads, might make you a bit happier!

You guys crack me up, how about you point your daggers at the ones who are causing so much pain in the country - I’m pretty sure you can figure out who they are IF you take the time to get past your irrational hatred.

I know, you’ll post some silly quasi offensive response to me, go for it. Your types are actually pretty funny in the big picture, can’t see the forest for the trees can ya?

I don't know, what do you need to be filled in on?

" I mean with your lengthy stay at FreeRepublic and all....."

Yep. Been a member for a year and a half, lurking since 2008. You're not exactly class of '98 yourself, but if you were, I'd tell you that while I have the utmost respect for longtime Freepers, you won't get your butt kissed by me.

Debby Schlussel tries to make the case that it is the common Arab culture of the Middle East that is a problem, not limited to one religion:

The “spiritual” journey was made through excessive use of
distilled spirits.... as in booze.

Apparently the mormons picked up the pieces and cleaned him up. Could just as well been Baptists if he’d found their recovery ministries.

AA originally non-denominational.

Interesting....Glenn Beck turned to an organization that provided him with the discipline to conquer his alcohol abuse by infusing that goal with a religious purpose.

My early experience with the Mormon mishies was their attempt to convert me when I was on my way to Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. Said the magic garmies would protect me in a postcrash fire. My current interest in LDS is exploring the many unkind things their doctrinal authorities say about the Catholic Church which IMO is based upon sheer envy of Rome’s wealth & influence.

But your observation has me rethinking my view of GB. He rarely makes direct mention of the Mormon church & `food insurance’ seems to be the nearest thing to Mormon teachings which he promotes.

Maybe Glenn doesn’t go in for all the stuff about Jewish Indians, lack of archeological evidence, polygamy, star Kolob, or prophets named Alma, Ether, & Mosiah.

“Then Beck, in a self-help book with Dr. Keith Ablow, said some nice things about Hinduism and Taoism as useful spritualities, and Shoebat basically calls him a devil-worshipper.”

When you compare a bunch of false religions as being legitimate, and declare that a measure of “general faith” causes Angels to come to you, and that we all have a “polestar” that draws these powerful forces, I have to agree that these are doctrines of devils.

This is Pope Benedict's moslem convert who later quit the Church for being too wimpy, right?

While I disagree with his religious beliefs, I admire the fact that he refuses to join the chorus that says "all religions are the same, so it really doesn't matter." Unfortunately the very nature of conservatism as it exists in a multi-religious society pushes it toward this position. Essentially theological positions (eg, no "gay marriage") have to be justified with non-Theistic arguments, which is to miss the entire point of having Divine commandments in the first place. This can lead to either a mushy ecumenism or a utilitarian civilizationism.

I myself may be the only member on this forum who doesn't condemn islam because it believes it is the only true religion and must conquer and vanquish all others. I don't understand how any religion can believe otherwise about itself. Yet we have post after post after post celebrating the accursed "enlightenment" and urging moslems to embrace Thomas Jefferson. Islam is wrong, but not because it isn't "liberal" enough.

Wish Walid would consider Noachism.

He might want to look into the Primitive Baptists if he can deal with no missionary activity and the belief that oodles and oodles of people who were never chrstians in their lives may be among the "elect."
