Very valid points - something I always thought of - but accepted that as long as we were Christian - it didn’t matter - but that was erroneous and division will and up to this point, lead to failures...

"When you accept the notion that religion really doesn't matter when it comes to important things in life (like who your leaders shall be for example), then it's just a small leap to the mindset that religion really doesn't matter in your own life either."”

That is a HOME RUN, and exactly why we are in the trouble we are today. All people in Leadership must be held to the highest standards, no excuses.

Great item. But curious about one thing: why publish a blog post about an Internet video published 9 months ago? Not exactly current...

The problem with America is the American people who are no longer very “American”.

"Hits the nail on the head"? This is about the dumbest premise I've ever heard of for an argument about the fall of a nation.

Rome fell, Constantinople fell, what is this guy smoking?

Maybe we've discovered the real video that made the Benghazi radical mooselimbs people riot.........

Meh.

” - - - America’s foundation is sand. - - - “

No, the Welfare State that “both” political parties built has been built on sand, the sand of the National Debt.

Currently, the Central, semi-Communist, Federal Government borrows 40 cents on every Federal dollar spent.

Currently, the Federal Welfare State accounts for 40 cents for every Federal dollar spent.

BTW, the baseline support for Obama is always above 40 percent.

Who among us can endure a 40 % loss every year? Oops, I forgot, we already have that rate with the IRS Corporate tax rate.

And yet many empires that had only one religion fell the same way we are.

Untiy of belief has some benefits, but also creates issues.

“...the inclination of human beings is to eventually take an argument to its final and most natural conclusion”

Let the author be reminded that there is also an inclination of human beings, NOT to take an argument to its final and most natural conclusion.

America was founded on the ideas of individual liberty, limited government and private property rights. It is falling because it has abandoned those principles totally. Property rights? That one is gone, gone, gone. Individual liberty is eroding in the name of the good of the people. And limited government is a faint memory. Religious plurality is a consequence of liberty. Soon the only religion left will be statism.

America needs to make things.

Stop buying things from China.

Make things. If we have a problem, it is because we are training another country to replace us.

Buying the stuff they make, while we pay people to sit around and do nothing.

America make things.

Michael Voris once again hits the nail on the head with this above video. The problem with America, the problem that will soon be its demise, is that it was founded on religious pluralism. That works up to a point, but once that point is reached, it starts to implode on itself.

It's pluralism now, is it? In a 2010 video, Voris claimed America was doomed to fail because it allows stupid people to vote. Voris starts out calling them uninformed, then moves to "societal parasites", and finally calls them a "cancer to be eliminated". What is Voris' prescription for America's ills? Eliminate the cancer, by changing to a "benevolent dictatorship" of Catholics running America. From that video:

There's an inherent problem with democracy. Actually, it's definitional. It's this: everyone gets to vote. That's right, EVERYONE gets to vote. Consider for a moment: the informed get to vote, those who have studied the candidates and issues, and consider the impact not only on themselves but the society at large. But in addition to the informed, the ignorant get to vote as well, those who have studied nothing and don't care about anything except themselves and their own narrow interests....

....societal parasites will cast their votes in such a way that will only hasten the destruction of a nation. It's like a cancer destroying its host. It enjoys ravaging the body, until the body is dead.

The cancer must be eliminated, and the only way to prevent a democracy from committing suicide is to limit the vote to faithful Catholics. Only a true Catholic nation in fact will survive, can survive, because only truly Catholic people will be the ones looking at God & not staring in the mirror. When they cast their their votes, they cast them with an eye to what God desires, not fallen human nature. But as the body politic continues to be ravaged by the cancer of ignorant self-centered voters, it becomes more and more clear that a national euthanasia is occurring.

But in truth, this is really the way the whole idea of democracy is little less than an experiment doomed to failure from the outset. Eventually, the evil in the heart of man overtakes him, when he dismisses God. No, the only way to run a country is by benevolent dictatorship. A Catholic monarch, who protects his people from themselves, and bestows on them what they need, not necessarily what they want, who protects their rights as human beings....

Does anyone else get the idea that Michael Voris wants to hasten the fall of the American Republic?

And people wonder why Premillennial Protestants have so much antipathy towards the Papacy. What Voorhis wants, Christianity ruled by the Pope, is the very thing prophesied for the end time. A return to Papist tyranny. No thanks.

What a daft reasoning. America would fall if people give up the idea of liberty and prefer a granny state. Oh wait, most non-freepers already did that
