I pray for the salvation of people I encounter and I know a certain percentage of these will probably come to Christ even though I may never see them again on earth.

There was a young boy at my elementary school who was the class bully - a really mean kid. After I was saved and started attending church years later, a young man my age introduced himself to me and said “I know who you are”. It turned out to be that bully all grown up and he was now following the Lord and was totally different.

I found out a few years later he was killed in an accident.

So God had His plan for this fellow and knew the time frame He had on Earth. By His Grace, the man’s life was transformed and then He was called to his Heavenly home.

I didn’t pray for him when he was a young bully but I’ll bet there was somebody who did.

Your life is like a tapestry, woven with the threads of those who have passed through your life and how you interacted with them. (We are all made in the image of God). This is what you bring with you at death and lay before our Lord. Like you, many souls have passed through my life and each one is a member of a group for which I pray every night. Prayer indeed transforms lives; we don't always see it in our lifetime. You were blessed to have witnessed it's effects on the bully. God bless you!

Thanks for Sharing. A wonderful story.

My Mother was a Religious Teacher For the Church. My friend never was taught Sunday school like those were outside public school. My mother who prayed constantly just sensed my friend needed Jesus. She taught him at the house. This was winter. He died that summer of a tragedy at 13years of age, Funny how we can respond to prayers. Amen.
