There was only One Perfect who lived on this earth, Jesus Christ the Son of God, our Redeemer and Savior of all mankind. All the rest of us - including the Catholic Popes and Presidents/Prophets of the LDS Church - are just people - not divine.

According to Brigham Young and your religion, he is a Prophet of the most High God (at least, ONE of them). Therefore, he must be judged by Prophetic standards:
Deu_18:22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
