I am needing to gather information for a paper for my Philosophy course. The information needs to be gathered from other people's thoughts. Could you help me? - What is ultimate reality to you? God? Matter? An impersonal force? Something else? - Is truth absolute or relative? - Are moral values absolute or relative? - Let's go back to ultimate reality. Do you believe in God? If so, why? If not, why not?
Blame bad events on global warming or sequestration. Bad things are also caused by Rethuglicans, Tea Baggers, Koch brothers or Fox News. And if you feel like being nostalgic, blame it on Bush.
Life flows easily from there. No need to think, just point your finger.
Oh wait, this is Free Republic and not DemocratUnderground. Never mind.
Which thoughts? That everyone has a profile or about what other people think or believe?
Thank you. I knew I had seen this question before. Looks like Eagle Nest Home just re-registered to re-ask the same homework assignment.
Jeez.
Thank you for your response. I appreciate the Christians who are standing up for what they believe. I did not make myself very clear in my original post. (Obviously, I am not very experienced in this.)
I am a Christian. For my paper, I am needing to hear the “other side of the story” —from one who is an atheist or a skeptic. I would like to hear a sound argument on why one does not believe in God. Since I am a Christian, I do not see the “other side” very well, and I would like to listen to somebody who will be reasonable enough to tell me. From what I have seen on these posts so far, there have been responses from either serious Christians who are well-grounded in their beliefs—Good for You! :-) —or people who really are not interested in the discussion.
Hmm. Yes, go on.
#2, I'm not it.
which thought?

You can pick your friends.
You can pick your seat.
You can pick your nose.
BUT
Not a good idea to pick your friends nose
AND
if you pick your seat, good idea to change hands before picking your nose.
It’s none of your business!
Yours of course.
on what?
In the beginning, there was this giant Turtle...
So Descartes walks into a bar. The bartender asks, “Would you like a drink?” Descartes replies, “No, I think not,” and then disappears.
...and the giant turtle looked down and saw...
You seem defensive. There’s no reason to feel that way. Why don’t you start at the beginning, how things came to be this way.
Hahaha! Good one.
OK, I’m thinking why you didn’t just answer my question in #33?
I can’t help you if you won’t open up.
