With all due respect I must say that I greatly appreciate your hard work here on the forums, however many of us do not become Atheists, rather Deists with an eye single to the glory of a certain higher being. It is the controlling aspects of all organized religion that many of us are against.

Just my certain humble opinion.

Thanks for the counterbalance offered up, 'Binger. (I appreciate it)

And you're right...Some Lds become Christians in Christian churches; others don't ignore God's existence -- they simply have become suspicious about churches in general...given that the Lds church itself has given them such a reasonable reason for such suspicions!

.
So is Yeshua!

He called them “Nicolaitanos” and said that he hated them.

Yeshua’s church is wherever two or more are gathered in his name. You can be one of them without the threat of control, by just believing in him.

I agree with you!

With only one exception: As long as the 'controlling' is along what the bible CLEARLY teaches; then I can put up with it.

I want a LEADER in my church; not a CONTROLLER.

Sadly; many church's leaders these days think they NEED to be a controller, too.
