Joseph Smith did not “make up” the Book of Mormon. No one could have done that. He translated the Book of Mormon.

That's funny. 'Cause when I open up my copy of the Lds "scriptures" -- and turn to D&C 24:1, what do I find?

”Behold, thou wast called and chosen to WRITE [note: word “translate” is nowhere to be found] the Book of Mormon…” (D&C 24:1)

Likewise, in the original 1830 version of the BoM, on the title page, Smith answers this plainly: Joseph Smith, Jr. AUTHOR and PROPRIETOR
