I can’t judge. We don’t know if he went to Confesion on his deathbed, thoroughly repented of all of his sins, made an act of Contrition and did the Penance.

Notice I said “doubt” in that statement.

There is a lot more to faith than just the Bible. Catholics believe in the Bible, but they have a lot of other things handed down to them from face to face witnesses, such as those people who knew the apostles personally. It’s called Holy Tradition — John 31:25 mentions it. At least one of his letters does too.

I don’t understand why non-Catholics do not believe those lines of Scripture!

The way I read and hear Catholics vilify Luther more than the devil himself, makes me wonder what the reaction might be IF when the soul returns to the Father that sent it of Catholics, what their reaction would be if Luther was the door greeter to Heaven.

That is what Catholics claim, however, Christ Himself stated in Mark 13:23, and Peter was there when Christ stated it, "But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things." This was before one jot or tittle of the so called New Testament was recorded on animal skins or plant fibers. So the 'new' stuff that became traditions did not come from Christ.

I do not have the time to learn the traditions of a church organization, when I am told that before even the so called New Testament was penned, that Christ Himself said to take 'heed' that He has already foretold all things. Christ said not to be deceived... that was His warning and the deception would come from those that call themselves Christian.

I do not understand why people invoke Peter's name as 'key holder' but totally disregard what Peter penned. There is a long laundry list of differences in what Peter did and wrote to what now is claimed to represent the keys given to Peter. I cannot find it Written anywhere that when I have my face to face with the Creator on judgment day that I will have anyone other than Christ as my advocate. So that being the case it seems more important to study John 1:1, than the ages of men calling themselves 'holy father'.
