Ah — that makes more sense. The MSM, particularly in Europe, LIVES on gossip so I suspect this won’t affect its target audience.
Like the one reported ad nauseam on local (Boston) TV and radio stations that Cdl. O'Malley (!) is on the "short list"? The story was made current in this country by John Allen, who cites "Italian media" (according to the radio reports I've heard). If he named specific sources, the radio ahd TV stations disdained to mention them.
