The alleged perp is now 20,so it is possible he was 17 at the time of the first occurrence.

Is there physical evidence?

It appears the age of consent for women is 14 in Utah. Since there is less than a seven year age difference, the prosecutor may have a tough time proving the girl was under 14 at the time sex occurred.

I might be hesitant to convict on a rape charge without proof the girl was under 14 at the time of any alleged sexual abuse.

I suspect this will be pled out on a reduced charged.

I can’t help my self, does any one understand until proven guilty. This is a very serious case. The girl was ten years old. Is hard to find information on her because of age.
