Sixty years ago, the Baltimore Catechism was our text at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Lindenhurst, NY. The Parish is still active, but sadly, the school closed in 2012 after a century of service.
My 1st grade teacher, Sr. Mary Christopher, taught me lessons that have served me well in my adult life. I am eternally grateful to her and to the other Sisters who taught me during my eight years of grammar school and first two years of high school.
