CRAFT NOTES Many spray paint products have been tried---silver, chrome. nickle---but Krylon Looking Glass does the trick to turn glass objects into mercury glass. Hard to find---but Hobby Lobby has it. Some crafters spray droplets of water inside the glass before spray painting----has that antique mottled look after it dries.

ANTIQUING GLASS CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS

MARTHASTEWART.COM...has this simple technique that lends new, shiny glass ornaments the muted, authentic appearance of antique mercury glass in. NOTE: As authentic mercury glass ages, it loses some of its luster and tends to darken in spots. DIY'ers will need a little paint and small sponges to get the effect.

Tools and Materials at Hobby Lobby---1 small tube of white gouache paint, 1 small tube of black gouache paint, 2 small natural sponges,Tissues

How-To

1. Place tea each white/black paint in separate bowls. Dilute with water droplets til consistency of heavy cream. 2. dab entire surface with sponge dipped in white gouache cream. 3. While still wet, use tissues to gently dab creating a mottled look. 4. W/ 2nd sponge, lightly and sparingly dab a few places with black gouache. 5. Use clean tissues to lighten and blur the black spots, creating the appearance of flaked mercury glass. 6. Let dry for at least 1 hour.

Apparently word didn't get out too well. I went to Hobby Lobby today, and the place wasn't busy at all.

I wish that I could communicate the following to Mr. Green. As I've posted in related threads, regardless that activist justices gave Obamacare the green light in 2012, justices wrongly ignored that previous generations of justices had clarified that the states have never delegated to Congress, via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate healthcare.

In fact, regardless that Justice Roberts referenced Gibbons v. Ogden in the Obamacare opinion, Justice Roberts seemingly ignored that Justice John Marshall had written the following in Gibbons. Justice Marshall had clarified, in a single sentence, the limits of Congress's Commerce Clause powers using health laws as an example; FDR's activist justices got the Commerce Clause wrong in Wickard v. Filburn.

"State inspection laws, health laws, and laws for regulating the internal commerce of a State, and those which respect turnpike roads, ferries, &c. are not within the power granted to Congress (emphases added)." --Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

The next excerpt from Gibbons clarifies in general that Congress is prohibited from laying taxes in the name of state power issues, the previous excerpt having clarified that healthcare is a state power issue.

"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." --Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

Justice Barbour later expanded Justice Marshall's "health laws" term.

"Inspection laws, quarantine laws, health laws of every description (emphasis added), as well as laws for regulating the internal commerce of a state and those which respect turnpike roads, ferries, &c., are component parts of this mass." --Justice Barbour, New York v. Miln, 1837.

And ten years before Constitution-ignoring socialist FDR was first elected president, FDR eventually succeeding in nominating a majority of activist justices who would ultimately pervert the Commerce Clause in Congress's favor, Constitution-respecting justices had once again clarified that the states have never delegated to Congress, via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate healthcare.

“Direct control of medical practice in the states is obviously (emphasis added) beyond the power of Congress.” –Linder v. United States, 1925.

Sadly, here is a smoking gun that corrupt Congress is deliberately ignoring its Article V requirement to petition the states for constitutional amendments that would grant Congress new specific powers, such as the power to regulate, tax and spend for healthcare purposes. Noting that the language below has since been removed, the govtrack.us web site had indicated that Congress wrongly ignored a resolution, initiated by former Congressman Jessie Jackson Jr., to propose to the states for ratification a healthcare amendment to the Constitution.

"The resolution's title starts with "Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United." (-10%)" --H.J.Res. 30: Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States regarding the right …" --H.J. Res. 30.

Note that basically the only Section 8 power that Congress has for regulating anything in the states is for regulating postal services (Article I, Section 8, Clause 7). Most other federal programs, especially those established from the time of FDR, are based on wrongly usurped state powers.

You wouldn’t believe this store! I went there for the first time today. It’s the kinda store that makes a woman’s heart race when you enter the place. You’d love it. I bought the greatest little tuscan style metal clip to hold my recipes.

While hammering it to my cabinet the nail went through into the other side with the nail sticking out into the next door cabinet. Whoops! I had to hammer the sharp side of the nail down (on the inside part) and it trashed the inside of my cabinet.

Every time I look at the inside of that cabinet and that splintered wood it will remind me of Obamacare, and how he has splintered our nation.

Every time I look at the lovely recipe holder on the outside of it, it will remind me of these wonderful Christian people and their convictions and it will inspire me!
