I hope Starbucks gets booted. I’m currently in college, and I don’t buy individual cups of coffee. It’s a colossal waste of money.

Good for them. I hope they are successful—but I have my doubts.

Proud to say I’ve never been in a Starbucks store. I hope they get tossed off campus.

Good.

I purchased Chick-fil-A gift cards yesterday.

GOOD FOR THEM! There’s no need whatsoever to pay for an anti-Christian political campaign by this corporation.. especially since corporations are definitely not created to spend their shareholders’ funds on political campaigns not directly tied to the survival of the firms. (Someone should buy a share of Starbucks stock and file suit to stop this practice! Same for JCPenney’s, same for ...)

And quite frankly, Star*ucks “coffee” has no taste! If you want to have an expensive “botique” style coffee dispenser on campus, which is admittedly nice to have, ask Peet’s to come in! (Otherwise, just boil your own coffee for 10 or 20 cents a cup and be done with it.)

If the school taught them anything about basic business they would know no customers means they will leave on there own.

Throwing them off campus is fine as long as there is an economic boycott that goes with it. If the students feel that strongly, let them put their money where their hearts are and stop patronizing Starbucks.

Multiply that by the number of conservatives who buy Starbucks coffee everyday and the company would suffer a noticable financial hit. IMHO.

** financial support of Planned Parenthood **

What Planned Parenthod is worried about is the loss of dollars.

Go, students, go!

How long until those on the left complain about the students attack on Starbucks right of free speech. Since they are major hypocrites they wont even see the comparison to Chic-Fil-A.

$3 to $5 per cup of coffee is ridiculous.

I spend $3.25 per week. I rarely buy coffee out. I would rather take my own thermos.

Besides, Starbucks is over-roasted bitterness.

I can hear Fivebucks now:

“But...but... that’s unAmerican! Whatever happened to having your own opinion and...and... freedom of speech and all that. What about Chick Fil A-...... never mind.”

Stupid idea, bad kids. Much better to just never buy there, inform patrons at the door of why it’s bad to shop there, and let them go out of business tank on their own. These student petitions, are the same as when students attacked Chik-fil-a and demanded universities evict them.

Students attacking businesses with the method of using government (or university administration) to close them is a bad trend.

Students are at college because they know very little. They are there to learn, not teach.

Just as well. The prices for their embryonic espressos and fetal frappucinos has gone through the roof.

And I always feel like an outcast because i think Starbucks is the worst coffee a person can buy. McDonalds and Dunkin blow them away. I’m mystified by people who can drink that burned acidic flavor.

But I still think that having administration evict them, allows Starbucks to be the victim closed by a totalitarian edict. BUT, having Starbucks close the shop on campus because nobody will patronize them is a FAR more powerful message. That should be the tactic. Think about it kiddies.

These high prices help maintain Starbucks’ above average profit margin of 10.66%

That does not sound like much of a margin. I'll bet it's a lot higher than that for coffee.

I get my coffee from a local boutique coffee place. Two reasons: 1)They make much better coffee than I can. 2)If I make it myself, I drink too much, my sleep gets affected and that makes me stupid.
