Michael Rood broadcasts SNL (Sabbath Night Live) from Dallas Texas at the debut of his new book, “The Chronological Gospels.”

A former Christian minister and U.S. Marine, many of Michael’s teachings come from his own life experiences. He seeks to teach the Hebrew Roots of the Christian faith, unsoiled, pure scripture without any added non-Biblical traditions or beliefs.

At approximately 1 hour and 39 minute minutes into the broadcast Michael explains the confusion in Matthew 1: …the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah the son of David, the son of Abraham, and in Luke.

An accurate interpretation is required to support Matthew’s declaration:

1: 17 Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Messiah.

These verses in the book of Matthew relate to the Daniel 7 prophecy being fulfilled in Jesus.

instead of dancing around and around, why don’t we get right to the crux of the matter, the heart of Christian doctrine, namely WHO IS JESUS CHRIST?

can we get a straight answer from rood on who is Jesus Christ?

rood says he is the Messiah, so far so good.

a lot of people believe He is the Messiah, including Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, etc.

but does rood believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, begotten of the Father, the eternal Word who became man to live a sinless perfect life and willingly sacrificed His life for the forgiveness of sins and to reconcile the elect in His Body to the Father? true God and true man?

can we get a straight answer from rood on this?

I don't have an issue with many, or probably even most, of his views -- view that are common in the messianic Hebrew roots movement.

If what you say is true, then I don't see what the issue is, unless you're really here just to talk about some personal issue you have with Rood?

I have never saw where Rood has ever claimed, acted, implied, or even insinuated that he is some kind of a prophet.

What he is, is very knowledgeable of the scriptures in every translation, including the original texts. His insight and ability to understand the contextual meaning as influenced by the period in which they were written, is uncanny. And on top of that, his theatrical garb, demeanor, and sense of humor provide for both an educational and entertaining presentation.

The ancient Hebrew scriptures described in the linked broadcast which Nehemia Gordon, a Karaite Jew, discovered locked away in Jewish archives, are a VERY significant find for the Christian world and are the topic of this thread.

And if we do that, we’ll be putting the RCC out of business, since they think he is Mithras, and celebrate Christ’s birth on Mithras’ birthdate.

If you took the trouble of reading or watching what Rood has produced, you would see that he is right on WRT who Christ is.

I don't speak for Rood, but from what I've heard him say, I believe you'd get a really loud Hoah! on all of the above.

ok, i am willing to risk putting the “RCC” out of business.

rood seems to go out of his way to hide what he believes about who Jesus Christ is.

if he is “right on” about this, why hide it?

why not come right out and proclaim it to the world.

since you seem very well aware of what rood teaches, you should be able to answer if rood believes Jesus Christ is True God, uncreated, without beginning or end, and true man, like us in every way but sin?

doesn’t seem like a tough question, but cults are always trying to hide what they truly believe and they are always wrong about the person of Jesus Christ.

the thread is titled Michael Rood, as most of his web site contains much about Michael Rood and many ways to send him money.
what i can’t find on his web site is a simple statement of faith, one where i can easily find out who rood believes Jesus Christ is.
is that too much to ask, why the mystery?
after all, if “ I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me”

if he did, it would be made clear for everyone to see that he teaches a different Gospel and a different Christ.

While I am no expert on Rood (and no defender either, as he seems fit to defend himself)... It seems to me that one who would rely upon a known spurious document (Galesian Decretal), and when called upon it, continues as if the call had not been made... Such a one who seems comfortable with such a thing would be the last to demand purity tests of others... JMO.

And further, if one's time is SO admittedly valuable as to not be able to view the OP, nor even view the links brought up in defense of the OP, to the point of being wholly ignorant of the subject at hand... How does one as busy as all that ever find time to throw stones from the sidelines of this thread? And to what end?

You need to answer for your failure to either read the plain words on the websites, or just spend a few minutes viewing the videos that speak the answers as well.
