That fits the description of a Scottish Lowlander that I know who immigrated to this country. He has the bravado of William Wallace--he used to walk out of movie theaters when "God Save the Queen" was played at the conclusion of films. However, he's quite aware of his heritage--for example, he often appears at "Burns balls"--commemorating the birthday of Scottish poet Robert Burns--that take place in January within the Scottish-American community, and he reads Burns' poem Address to the Haggis, one of the highlights of such programs
