The Scots are now leftists. They mostly vote Labour, and the Scottish National Party is left wing as well.

I'm not sure what's happened to the Scots. I only really visited and knew lowland scots -- not the highlanders leave alone folks from Skye etc. but to me the Scots seemed, I'm sorry to say, pitiful -- they had the entire William of Wallace bravado on, yet none of them could speak Gaelic. They were very much "I hate the English", yet they only knew English, they were not Christian anymore and seemed not to know their own culture.

it's almost a hollywoodisation of culture
