You see, THEY and THEM are pronouns that are used to denote a group of two or more. It does not necessarily denote 100% of all the people. It is just plural pronoun.
That's very weak. You could use it to justify all kinds of bigotry.

In the thin-skinned “everything is a code word or dog whistle” world of American identity-based politics, anything I say can be used to justify bigotry. So, I have ceased to give a rat’s ass what you and your liberal friends “think” I am saying.
