Ezekiel 16:2 "Son man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations. ...... God called sodomy an abomination.... The question of this thread was
Question: In the passages below a harlot symbolizes something. The title on her head is "MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH." One of the titles is "the mother of harlots". This suggests that there are other harlots that have sprung from this harlot.
Babylon means 'confusion', Ezekiel 16 tells why and the who caused/allowed the conditions that made Jerusalem... become spiritually speaking of Sodom and Egypt. And what God's judgment and actions He would send or allow because of His peoples harlotry... spiritually speaking adultery.
In this modern era there has been a push/shove, to celebrate diversity, when actually what has been encouraged is to embrace all cultures regardless if that culture is ungodly. Which was the history of the house of Jacob, after the civil war they became the House of Israel and the House of Judah. Remember in Revelation 1:16 Christ is described ....out of His mouth went a sharp twoedge sword; That means it prunes both those of the left and the right. Meaning there is a whole lot of housekeeping needed even on the 'right'. How many religions are represented in Jerusalem today?
The only way I see this fitting is if the Jews submit to Islam and right now, that is not the case. Or they submit to the anti-christ...?
Yet, Revelation 18:4 tells us this as well:
Come out of her, my people,[b]
so that you will not share in her sins,
so that you will not receive any of her plagues;
5 for her sins are piled up to heaven,
and God has remembered her crimes.
6 Give back to her as she has given;
pay her back double for what she has done.
Pour her a double portion from her own cup.
7 Give her as much torment and grief
as the glory and luxury she gave herself.
In her heart she boasts,
I sit enthroned as queen.
I am not a widow;[c]
I will never mourn.
8 Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her:
death, mourning and famine.
She will be consumed by fire,
for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.
