Not a word was heard from the Vatican all the years Sderot babies were in mortal danger. They began noticing the violence last week.
Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, President of the Vatican Council for Culture, commenting on the war between Israel and Hamas, delivered a severe attack on the Jewish people: I think of the massacre of the innocents. Children are dying in Gaza, their mothers shouts is a perennial cry, a universal cry.
The Catholic Church high official equated Israels operation in Gaza against terror groups with the New Testament story of Herods slaughter of Jewish babies in his effort to kill Jesus.

Given the huge number of homosexuals in the Catholic Church, and given the Muslim propensity for homosexuality (or bestiality), that Church officials support Muslims should surprise few.
If this is the best the Catholic church can come up with, then to hell with the church.
Let’s not forget their affinity for young’uns....
“Birds of a Feather...”
Indeed.
This isn’t “the Vatican” speaking, nor the Pope. It is the “President of the Vatican Council for Culture,” which must be some sort of politically correct side office. I confess I never heard of it before.
It’s sad that a jerk like this has made it all the way up the ladder to the rank of cardinal. But he does not speak for the Church. It’s his personal opinion. And he’s evidently a a bigoted, left-wing jerk.
Lotsa folks can hear a lot of misery coming from Israel, with rockets raining down on... get this... civilians.
Seems the jihadists aren’t really aiming at anything military, ever.
Hmmm... and the abomination commonly referred to as mainstream news media keeps running stories painting the jihadis as the “good guys” and Israel as the “bad guys”.
Anyone who works for the mainstream media has got to feel like they’re working for Goebbels himself - I don’t know how they can live with themselves.
Very sad indeed......still spewing anti-semitism since the Epistle of Ignatius to the Magnesians about 80A.D. .....very sad!
Here I am. He's a cardinal with a mistaken opinion.
I'm sure there are other cardinals with divergent opinions.
But those aren't in the newspaper.
Sometimes if you don’t have anything good to say it is best to say nothing.
i would agree with you.
However, where is the Church’s or the Pope’s condemnation of the Palis? 8000 rockets into Israel in 3 years!
What you have done is to quote a militantly anti-Catholic article misquoting the Cardinal's introduction to Pope Benedict's third volume on Jesus of Nazareth. In his remarks the Cardinal mentioned a cycle of violence in the middle east dating back thousands of years and cited Herrod's killing of the innocent among several examples. Apparently, mentioning the killing of the innocents, which the militantly ultra orthodox deny happened, is code for rationalizing the Holocaust.
Shame on you and on those who wanted so desperately to believe this. I suggest you do a little honest journalism for yourself and research the alleged remarks before parroting any slander that serves your prejudices.
Hey! the arabs have oil the jews do not. So there might be some money in it if they come out on the winning side. And ohh those baby arab boys.
The ‘catholic’ church needs to recognize what it actually is and quit lecturing the rest of the world. The church is beautiful until someone actually says something.
But they were on the side of the Nazis and it seems they remain so. Gosh! why are the pews empty and donations down. Maybe we should double down on Bingo night.
WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
> But they were on the side of the Nazis
I read somewhere that the previous pope was a Polish chemical salesman who sold Zyklon gas to the Nazis. Zyklon was used for the gas chambers at Auschwitz.
I don’t know if this is true.
Your Excellency, you do not SPEAK FOR ME!
