A friend of mine is very Jewish. Grew up in a Jewish family, attended Jewish School, married Jewish, children attending a Jewish School. She is pretty famous, written several books, been on Opra as well as many other shows...

She had a NDE (near death experience) and met Jesus. She shared her experience with me as she knows that I am Christian, but has never told her husband or anyone else. She said that she has no doubt about Jesus, but is not ready to cause all the trouble in her family.

With Muslims becoming Christians in particular, it is a VERY familiar story to hear of an encounter with Jesus in a dream or vision of some kind--telling them to listen to Christians.

I heard a story of a church in the USA having several Iranian(?) families suddenly start attending--all because each of the men separately, the same night...had dreams of Jesus telling them to go to that church. All were decent God-fearing Muslims, and had never had any interaction with Christianity.

Reminds me of the story of the first Gentile Christian:

At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment. He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly. One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision. He distinctly saw an angel of God, who came to him and said, “Cornelius!”

Cornelius stared at him in fear. “What is it, Lord?” he asked.

The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God. Now send men to Joppa to bring back a man named Simon who is called Peter. (Acts 10:1-5)

One would think that you would be so over-whelmed by Christ that trouble to family would be a minimal consideration.

Any chance we could get a telling of those NDE encounters with Jesus here on FR? Lord knows we could use the morale boost about now.

Also, if you've never seen this site, it's a website dedicated to tales of NDEs:
