For I will restore health unto thee, and I
will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord;
(Jeremiah 30:17a)
TOPICS: Prayer
KEYWORDS: heroes; nation; pray
Wonderful Savior, Jesus, how we thank you for telling us that there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. Lord Jesus, we don't need to let our hearts be troubled. We can trust in God, and we can trust also in You. In the Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, You would have told us. You went to prepare a place for us. And if You went to prepare a place for us, You will come back and take us to be with You that we also may be where You are.Lord, the fruit of Your Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Please fill us with Your Spirit and eclipse our personality with Yours. Lord, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--help us, Your children in this Nation, and all our American Heroes to make the choice to think about such things. Lord God, help us to feel the Spirit, not the flesh! Changing the way we think will change the way we feel! In Jesus name, we pray, Amen.

PRAYERS GOING UP FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!
GEN. GEORGE WASHINGTON THE PRAYER AT VALLEY FORGE "Let Tyrants Shake Their Iron Rod" William Billings Mixed District Choir, Fairfax, Virginia (Click)
In the coldest and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.
In like manner, let our prayers now rise lie a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and keep them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.
SHADOWS AT ARLINGTON God Of Our Fathers, Whose Almighty Hand Morman Tabernacle Choir (Click)
Heavenly Father, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these brave men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your loving embrace, that You cause Your countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen. |

Stand Fast
October 30, 2012
As I waited to make a right-hand turn at a busy intersection, an ambulance appeared over the crest of a hill, speeding in my direction. Someone behind me honked, urging me into the crossroads. I knew the ambulance would be unlikely to stop and that it could have been disastrous to make my turn. So I kept my foot on the brake pedal and stayed put.
Spiritually speaking, we need to stay put and remain faithful to God despite pressure from others. King Solomon had to learn this the hard way. He began his reign by asking God for wisdom (1 Kings 3:9), and his prayer at the dedication of the temple revealed his loyalty (8:23,61). But he did not remain committed. He married many foreign women who eventually influenced him to worship other gods. By the end of his life, his heart was not loyal to the Lord (11:1-6; Neh. 13:26).
Today, just as in ancient times, people may prompt us to shift our loyalty away from God and His truth. Yet with Gods help we can hold fast to the word of life (Phil. 2:16). If you feel pressured to enter a dangerous intersection of beliefs, study Gods Word, put on His armor (Eph. 6:10-18), and ask the Holy Spirit for help (1 Cor. 2:10-12). Then stand fast with your fellow believers in Christ.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
Stand in His strength alone;
The arm of flesh will fail you
Ye dare not trust your own. Duffield
To avoid being pulled into error, keep a firm grip on the truth.

Good prayer. I believe a change is coming politically and spiritually for America for the better.
I called a river a poster was talking about the other nite a “nothing” river. I felt he had insulted me, so I said it back to him. I felt bad about that because it was belittling something God had given as a blessing. I felt I insulted God with that and I’m going to strive to do better with that and watch my tongue.
If any man will see good days let him refrain from speaking evil and his lips that they spreak no guile. God in Jesus name I thank you for that wonderful river and how you have blessed America with it. I don’t like to insult the blessings God has given to us. We are such a blessed people.
