With the recent proclamation of a Green Bay bishop that Christians who vote for someone supporting the gay or abortion agenda is putting their soul in jeopardy, theres been an increase in the amount of email in my inbox asking my take on whether it is a sin for Christians to be Democrats. I think a lot of people assume this is a difficult subject for me to address. I hate to disappoint them, but its not.
I recently read an article from a self-proclaimed Christian Democrat explaining why they would be voting for Obama, and to a larger degree, supporting the Democrat Party. I am intentionally not linking to the original article for a reason. The article was full of the very kind of fine-sounding arguments that Paul warns us in Colossians to be on guard against. Given the sorry state of Biblical Christianity in America, I know that several of these arguments could easily ensnare and trap a lot of confused Christians and I wont willfully provide a potential stumbling block to any believer.
It should be an axiom for Christ followers that while our faith should inform our politics, our politics should never inform our faith. But this particular author, as is often the case with Christian Democrats, has made an a priori commitment to supporting the Democrats and then seeks to find faith-based reasons to justify it. But heres the uncomfortable truth such individuals must confront: while its certainly true that not every Republican is worthy of our support as Christians, any individual who runs under a platform that justifies the legal slaughter of innocent life made in the image of God is an unacceptable choice. Period.

no doubt. i think i’ll even add a final prayer to check with the Lord before marking the ballot, which is the best argument yet for waiting until election day.
God bless and peace.
Yes.
Satan’s minion, Kmiec, still supports its immediate superior, the Kenyan anti-Christ.
Until there are efforts to distroy facism in order to have freedom.
Yes, for the following reasons:
1. Support of abortion and killing of children.
2. Support of sexual immorality/homosexuality.
3. Official repudiation of God at their national convention (3 times), caught on nationwide TV.
Unfortunately, the only successful eliminations of Fascism that I am aware of, are as result of a combination of internal decay (decadence) and external pressure (normally war).
The most recent having been the “cold war” over in what is now Eastern Europe, distroyed by the efforts of the combination of Reagan, Thatcher, and Blessed John Paul II.
Let us not forget Brian Mulroney, who delivered a eulogy for Ronald Reagan (the first that a foreigner had ever given an American President - Margaret Thatcher also delivered one) and who was a serious player in the Cold War effort. He was also awarded the Grand Cross with Collar of the Order of Kniaz Yaroslav the Wise - by Ukraine in his efforts to free them from Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Modern day Russia is fascist. So was Hussein's Iraq and Assad's Syria. Arguably, so was apartheid South Africa.
The DNC is a fascist organization, as evidenced by its own web site and its policies and practices. I think that it is a sin to vote for such oppressive and dishonest groups that have little regard for the individual, as shown by their open embrace and willing subsidization of partial birth abortion, where a baby is partially removed from the birth canal and then has his/her head pierced with scissors and its brain sucked out by vacuum. Then it is dissected and sold for medical experimentation.
There is no question in my mind.
