With all due respect, scripture states that the following will preceed the rapture: a covenant of peace between Israel & her enemies, which will be broken, a tribulation, abomination of desolation in the TEMPLE in Jerusalem, a great tribulation, then the RAPTURE.
As far as I know, a mosque sits on the temple mount - but no temple.
I think some of us focus too much on flying away. Every day, about 150K people leave this earth via death. Let's focus on preaching the good news to a lost and dying world!!
For now I will say that I have begged post-Trib dupes over the years to provide one verse of Scripture to support their myth and not one has ever been able to give me one verse of Scriptue that validates post-Trib mythology.
So if you want to give it a shot, go ahead, but be prepared for a deluge of evidence that nukes post-Trib mythology as soon as I can get to it.
I need to see the Scripture that contradicts the passages in this link:
The covenant of peace proceeds the Tribulation. It says nothing about the rapture.
It may be that the rapture destabilizes everything to the point of setting up the scenario for the peace covenant to be implemented.
Some questions...
What’s the point of the rapture is the church, the bride of Christ, is to go through the horrors of the Tribulation?
Tribulation is God’s judgment on the unbelieving, Gentile world. How does the church, which has already been judged righteous, fit into that?
Why would God judge the Bride?

Yep! Just imagine the confusion and mess when millions of people just turn up missing.
My understanding is the rapture occurs when the number of gentiles is fulfillled, Rom 11:25, then the hardening of the hearts of Jews ends.
The tribulation is to bring the Jewish Nation (some Jewish individuals within and also some remaining gentiles)to Himself by preaching and increasing judgement signs.

As has often been said, are the two witnesses the ONLY Christians left on earth to fight the anti-christ?

Our Father appears at the SEVENTH seal, SEVENTH trump and SEVENTH vial, and we had BETTER be the ones left “working in the fields”, when our LORD returns, with our lamps FULL of oil.
Not ALL churches are the bride of Christ, as some harbor false teachers—those that teach Christians that they need not read Revelations because they will “fly away” do NOT find favor with our Lord-—Smyrna and Philadelphia are the churches that found favor with the Father, as they are the ones that teach of the Kenites—the spawn of Cain, the first murderer, and they teach from God’s word, NOT man’s word.
The anti-christ will come in peace and prosperity so as to fool those who will believe he is the true God-—would YOU believe someone coming with red horns and blood drooling from his mouth who wreaks havoc on humanity to be the coming of our Lord? No, because this treatment of humanity is not Christ-like. Satan will “play” Christ, to fool those who think they will fly away out of any danger. Christ LOVES those that read His word and expect to witness against the false christ-—as Christians, we need to prepare to stay RIGHT HERE ON EARTH and WARN our fellow Christians that the anti-christ comes BEFORE Christ’s return and witness against satan!
Judgement will start at the pulpit, as “teachers” should teach God’s word, not man’s (or Hollywood’s) interpretation of His word.
No church is the Bride of Christ.
The Bride of Christ IS the church, the true church, the body of believers.
No denomination can claim to be that bride and no members of said denomination can make that claim.
We these days, have a wrong view of what really constitutes the church as defined by Scripture. It is NOT a denomination, or building, or organization. It is the body of believers who have truly put their their faith in Christ and are the redeemed.
I wasn’t implying a denomination or building.
But, if you are of the belief that Christ returns first to “fly you away”, and you fall for the lie, you will want the mountains to fall upon you for the shame of not knowing the anti-christ comes first to deceive and our true Lord returns afterwards.
If your church doesn’t teach you this, you are vulnerable; read His word yourself and be prepared;
Matthew 24-
“21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.”
If Christians are to go through the Tribulation, then they will be killed off for not receiving the mark of the beast.
Who’s going to be left to rapture away if all the Christians are killed?
And why rapture them at the end of the Tribulation? What’s the point? What is God rapturing them for if they’ve made it to the end?
Not only is post-Trib rapture unscriptural, it doesn’t even make any sense.
As far as any one particular church being the true church, you most certainly were implying that a denomination was the true church in the first line of your previous post.
If you’re speaking of the church of Philadelphia and Smyrna, they are NOT denominations—these are not their “names” or their denominations—they found favor with God in Revelations because they teach the word of God from scripture-NOT man’s interpretation of it, for example: the “rapture”; that word doesn’t even exist in the scriptures.

If satan is coming as anti- (“instead of” in the Greek language) christ and his purpose is to deceive people into following him AS christ, why would he act as a butcher toward people? Wouldn’t this “blow his cover”? Wouldn’t this frighten away the people he is trying to convince into following him?
The “mark of the beast” is to be received IN the forehead and the hand.
Your brain is IN your forehead; those that understand that the anti-christ comes first to deceive, will NOT receive the mark of the beast, nor will they receive the “mark” in their hand; the hand represents doing WORK FOR the anti-christ; helping him to deceive others by telling all their friends and relatives that he really is Christ and has come to” rapture” us away. They praise him and try to get their friends and relatives to praise and follow him, too.
(prep for the bad times ahead—have extra food and barter items, as the 3 ½ years has been shortened to 5 months for the sake of the “elect”—5 months being the lifespan of the locust—the “elect” being those that will witness against the anti-christ.

If they’ve made it to the end, they have waited for the TRUE Christ’s return and they are rewarded for following His word –we are in Heaven with Him-Heaven IS wherever God is, and He returns to earth for the millennium, where those that have never been taught will be taught for a thousand years-God’s Day is as a thousand years.
I have a sister that does not believe because she cannot imagine a “loving” God that would cast non-believers into the pit; (she references those in the jungles of Africa who’ve never had the opportunity to learn.) He will NOT-not until they have the opportunity to be taught. That is what the millennium is for; to give those that didn’t have the chance to learn the opportunity to learn and to CHOOSE, whether to follow God or satan, who will be loosed a short time, at the end of the millennium.
Metmom, you will LOVE reading Revelations 20—but, be sure to read the King James version, as the NIV has had some erroneous translations added to it.

But, don’t trust me; I am just starting to learn from a pastor that has taught and researched for 60 years; he teaches the Bible chapter by chapter and verse by verse and urges people to use a Strong’s Concordance to help with their learning the Word—it has the Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic root meanings of words to help you.
He is amazing and many other pastors and priests don’t like him because he forever reminds people (especially senior citizens on a fixed income) that God does NOT send out beggars…so many churches depend on $$$ and want people to give-give-give, even when they can’t. (think of the gold faucets in the evangelists’ homes and the wealth of the churches!) He asks for tithes IF he has helped you and urges seniors to spend their money on their food and medicine. He is a blessing to listen to.
I was raised a Catholic and will forever be grateful to my mother for my religious upbringing, but we never studied the Bible in this manner, and I feel I have so much to “catch up” on in very little time. So, please, read the Bible yourself with the aid of a Strong’s Concordance

Matthew 24 - Jesus talking:

You’re only assuming that Jesus is talking about the church in verse 9 and 15. He does not specify and it does not fit with the rest of the passage. It makes more sense that He’s speaking to the Jews.
Context is everything.
The context is that he’s speaking to his disciples. He’s answering a question posed by them. Therefore, when his answer uses the word “you” without “you” being further qualified, it’s fair to say that he means “the disciples”, i.e, the church.
You are all over the map on the and going off the subject.
In post 12 you said not all churches are the bride of Christ.

By definition, the Church IS the Bride of Christ. If it is not the Bride of Christ, then it is not THE Church, no matter what label its members slap on the outside of the building.
That, by default, implies that you think that organizations or denominations, are the Church. There is no getting around that one.
The churches in Revelation have nothing to do with it and your bringing them up is nothing but a red herring.
As far as the word “rapture” not appearing in Scripture, that is a very weak argument. The words “ trinity” and “incarnation” don’t appear either. Do you reject those doctrines as well?
Your arrogance in thinking you know where other people are at and where they’re coming from is staggering. What makes you think that I haven’t already read and studied all that material just because it differs from your opinion?
