Harry Reid is a Mormon, and he wants you to know that Mitt Romney is not the poster boy for his religion, the Salt Lake Tribune reports. Speaking on a conference call Friday about Romney's upcoming visit to Nevada, where many Mormons live, Reid said that he agrees with fellow Mormon Gregory A. Prince—who blogged last week that Romney has "sullied" their shared religion, according to Politico. Members of the LDS church "understand that [Romney] is not the face of Mormonism," Reid added.
The GOP pounced on Reid's comments, with Utah Rep. Jason Chaffetz saying, “Harry Reid seems to be making this way too personal and consequently throwing the religion under the bus for his own personal gain. That’s not where anyone should be going with this. He’s taking this two steps too far.”
This could result in a great article on the many faces of Mormonism.
The church should kick Harry out. Since when did being a pedarest fit in with their beliefs. F U Harry

A lot of Baptist had that problem with President Carter. Makes me want to vote for Romney, which I am going to do, but not because I want to.
I live in Utah...Mitt Romney is very popular among the Mormon faithful...and he is probably the best public representative they have had for their religion since Steve Young was playing football.

Whoa. I had no clue Harry Reid is [nominally] Mormon. I would never have guessed based on his political stances. Kinda like Pelosi being a proud Catholic who says her abortion stance is somehow part of her faith.

So far the Obama campaign and its allies have called Romney a tax fraud, a sullied Mormon,greedy,uncaring, accused him of killing a steel unionist’s wife,and a vulture capitalist. Their campaign is twofold- the other guy looking to replace me is the devil and anything bad happening on my watch is due to the devil that preceded me.Last time I heard those excuses from a underperforming employee, I fired him.
how about Reid shows HIS tax returns,
and shows how much he gave to the Morman Church ?
