I’m sure curious, how does a priest talk to someone, presumably on the phone, since it seems unlikely that he would visit him in the hospital to determine if he has paid his taxes and is worthy of the “anointing of the sick”, and tell with certainty, if they are in danger of dying or not from their illness?
By the way, what is with the personal attacks that you guys are doing? What brings out that behavior from you for no reason?

I swear to you I am not saying this to offend you, but are you dense?

That too seems painfully obvious. Are you not getting it? Seriously, is this all lost on you? If it is, you should leave the thread because you will never get a clue if you continue on this way.

YOU are the reason. YOU bring the bahviour onto yourself. Seriiously, how can this not be readily apparent to you?
I am going to send this to you as a private message as well in case the mods delete this post.
So a sneering insult or two is supposed to shut the other person up.
As regards this tax levied by the churches but collected by the state one can hardly imagine Jesus requiring a tax on the 5000 he fed without cost to them. He said, ‘You received free, give free’ to his disciples.
