An Oakdale priest has been charged with criminal sexual conduct involving a 12-year-old boy.
The boy reported to his mother that Curtis Carl Wehmeyer, 47, pastor of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in St. Paul, had been sexually abusing him in a camper trailer in the church parking lot, according to a criminal complaint.

It’s typical to see FRoman Catholics go to the end of the earth to protect pedophiles.
1. Why do you keep associating me with this FReeper?
2. Why do you focus on attacking me instead of those who sexually abuse children?
Twist and shout. Sadly, while they twist their children are in harm’s way.
It reminds me of the controversy in Thomas More's time about the Holy Maid of Kent. It seems she confessed to being a fraud (although how would we know? All the info about her confession is from Thomas Cromwell and Henry VIII's henchmen). She did speak the truth that Henry's divorce of Queen Catherine and marriage to Anne Boleyn was a sin. Some of her prophecies turned out true; some not.

Or for any lurkers who are looking for information, and not calumny.
Good night, I'm done.
Then why did he apologize?
Why did nearly 60 priests petition him to resign?
He and Benedict are pedophile protectors of the highest order.

From the Archdiocese of St Paul and Minneapolis:
“Statement Regarding Curtis Wehmeyer
Date:
Friday, September 21, 2012
Source:
Jim Accurso
On June 20, after being informed of Curtis Wehmeyers possible misconduct with a minor, the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis immediately reported the allegations to the St. Paul police, and an investigation was begun.
On June 21, the archdiocese immediately removed Wehmeyer from his ministerial duties, and since that date, he has not practiced any ministry in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. The archdiocese cooperated fully with the ensuing police investigation, and learned only today that Wehmeyer had been formally charged.
The archdiocese deeply regrets the pain caused by clergy misconduct or by others within the Church, and is offering its support and assistance to all concerned.
Wehymeyer was ordained a priest in 2001, and served as associate priest at St. Joseph parish in West St. Paul between 2001 and 2006. From 2006 to 2009, he served at Blessed Sacrament Parish in St. Paul, a parish which merged with St. Thomas the Apostle on July 1, 2009.
Anyone having knowledge of misconduct within a parish should call the proper authorities and is encouraged to notify the archdiocese at 651-291-4497.”
That is all I will say on this sbject. Everyone who knows the facts thank God in Heaven for Benedict.
My point (as I’m sure you understood) was that good results happen through God’s grace in situations that may not be (or clearly are not) holy in origin.
I agree. Just as with the Scouts, “never be alone with a non-parent adult” is a key point. When I’m teaching, even with 15 children in the room, we leave the door open if one of the adults has to step out. It’s just following procedure.
It’s not pleasant having to explain to your pre-teen sons about homosexual predators and what they want to do, but there’s really no other choice. “Some men want to have anal sex with you. This is what that means.” It’s gross.
You’re right, TC, and I have to hear that more often. SOmetimes I get pretty discouraged about the prevailing of sin and error. Christus vincit.
the church cannot posibly eliminate all homosexual activity by its' priests. The incidents involving public school staff FAR exceeds those by priests. Your sarcastic remark does nothing to alleviate the situation, but if it makes you feel better....so be it!!
your lack of knowledge concerning the Catholic church is quite apparent...The Pope is considered the vicar of Christ on earth. Priests, while certainly holding a place of honor within the church, are not substitutes for Christ. The church, like every other institution, is subject to the failures of mankind. If there were no sinners, there would be no need for the church. We NEVER elevate a human being to the level of God...ever.
Joe Paterno also exercised bad judgement.
Pen State has more integrity than the Vatican.
I guess it’s harder to deal with the situation when you are organizationally riddled with Jerry Sanduskys...
