- Snip - but this clip, via ZeroHedge, is worth your time. Retired Justice Souter holds forth on the ignorance of the population, and even cites 1970 as the beginning of the destruction of the education system, and thus the Republic itself. Imagine that.

Where I disagree with Souter is the notion that a mere lack of civics knowledge is the "number one problem." -

The "number one problem" is godlessness, of which ignorance is a derivative.

Because godless Marxist-Communists infiltrated and then eventually overthrew our education system, media and churches, people in this culture are not only "uneducated", they are, if I may be permitted to coin a new term, CONTRA-EDUCATED. "Uneducated" implies that a person has not been presented any information at all. That is somewhat the case, but not the complete case. No. The Marxists who have infiltrated the entire education system, media and churches have been presenting information that was objectively false and evil. They have been teaching children and young adults lies, and discouraging any capacity for logical, reasoned thought. They have created a system whereby lies are fed, and the students are expected to swallow those lies whole and never, ever question them. Pumping students' minds full of lies and discouraging any capacity for independent thought is the DIAMETRICAL OPPOSITE of education. So, people today are not just uneducated, they are indeed CONTRA-EDUCATED. We are not talking a mere absence of the thing, we are talking about the diametrical opposite of the thing.

And how did this happen? Godless, moral degeneracy. Logic, reason and truth are the enemies of evil because Logic, Reason and Truth are constitutive qualities of God Himself.

We need a great movement of missionery activity in this country. We need another Saint Patrick or Saint Paul the Apostle to light the fire of the Gospel in the dead United States. May God give the prophets of today as he did once with Ezekiel, another vision of the valley of dry bones! Revival comes from heaven. It may take years, but we must watch and pray. Our youth then will become truly educated, when truth is exulted, not stifled. Let us pray...
