"How about preventing the Marxist from consolidating state socialism in this country?"
- Because Romneycare is so much better than Obamacare? Romney's "Repeal and Replace" amounts to rebranding not repeal. And he keeps taking Obamacare provisions off the table that prove the point.
- Whose father was it that said we should listen to Alinsky? Romney's. Couldn't have been Obama's, we aren't even sure who his father is.
- Which candidate actually implemented gay marriage. Oh that was Romney too.
- Which one said Boy Scouts should put gays in leadership positions? Again Romney.
- Which one raised taxes on gun owners? Again Romney.
- Which one tried to force Catholics to support abortions. Both
- Which one knows what's wrong with the economy and has a plan to address it? Neither.
- Which candidate mentioned jobs more in their acceptance speech? Obama
- Which one put action in place of words and presented a detailed plan for jobs. Neither. 3 of Romney's 5 points wouldn't do much. Energy and Trade would. But Romney hasn't given any more details on Trade than Obama did in 2008. And Romney's energy plan includes having a 2 year approval process for existing site reactors. Which means Romney might actually have to approve a reactor by the time his first term is up. Obama already has approved some same site reactors. And drilling and oil production is up under Obama, despite Obama.
- Which candidate failed to support democratic processes in office. Neither (Obama failed on the passage of Obamacare. Romney failed when he sided with the activist Judiciary over the legislature and traditional values on Gay Marriage.) Romney failed again with the Convention shenanigans.
- Which candidate appointed homosexuals to key judicial positions? Both.
- Which candidate's campaign manager openly talked about Etch-a-skething their positions? Romney
- Which candidate actually keeps their campaign promises? Neither.

Alas, there are numerous candidates to vote for ~ a vote for a candidate is a vote or that candidate and not a vote for a different candidate.
Thinking any other way about it is magical thinking. Besides, it's totally foolish to insult people who might be undecided ~ they might vote for your boy if you give them a chance. if you attack them they may not. No real politician turns down a chance to get a vote!

How many go to a church such as the “reverend wright” s’ church? I think that may answer the question.

I guess it would be out of bounds to ask if you really were somewhat tipsy when you officiated at Sidebar's memorial service after the tragic yachting accident that convienently didn't leave a corpse?
Or should I shut up now. ;)

Actually, I expect your preferred liberal to win. I will lose no opportunity to complain about the GOP liberal guy.

"If Obama wins, at this pace, we will have so many people dependent on government we wont have enough independently minded people to make a Conservative base."If I understand Romney/Ryan's plan. We are going to get there faster. They are going to pull support out from under people before they address the structural issues in the economy. That's going to come back in 2 years and give the rat's the congress.
I won't vote for either one. This failure will be yours or theirs. Not Mine.
Romney is wrong to equate the 47% who don't pay taxes with being dependent on government. The daily beast ran an article saying 49% are actually dependent but they included social security and Medicare recipients, even though they had paid in taxes for those insurance benefits for years.
Neither candidate understands or has a plan to address the real issues in the economy. And thus they are both going to fail. But Ryan's plan will cause a liberal backlash. Obama will generate a conservative backlash.

“I dont think conservatives are abandoning Romney, they were never on board to begin with.
And the GOP-E were idiots to ever think they would be.”
I totally agree with you DannyTN.

If by not voting for ORomney, they are voting for OZero, then by not voting for OZero, they also vote for ORomney. It sounds like a wash to me.

O is eminently impeachable if not indictable as a fraud and enemy of the state. R will merely continue the same policies we are all against and be untouchable. There are no good choices.

We ARE working within the Party; we are voting for Conservatives to try to change the direction of the Party.
