Just a prayer request, why is long to be sure but I need to tell the story.

Don’t even think about any of the kids living with you because that would be a change of circumstances and the dad would actually have a better chance to get the kids. You and the stepdad to be are what they call “legal strangers” and except for helping behind the scenes should not be doing anything.

What a scary situation. Ask everyone you know to pray for you. I know prayer works.
As a woman, I also know the security of knowing how to use a gun and having no reservations about using it when needed. If I had kids to protect, multiply that by 1000.

Do not debate theology on prayer threads.

You and your family are and will be in my prayers.
I agree that you need to share this with your husband. He will know that he needs to put the grandkids and your daughter ahead of his anger. He may already be aware of some of this.
Maybe the attorney can find out why he loses the jobs; not very stable. And, requesting supervised visitation would be a good start as far as protecting the children. Those poor babies. Being prepared to defend them and herself is good advice.
Your daughter is very lucky to have you; be there as you can.
I wish I could do something to help, but I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
