Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Isaiah 65

1. “I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me;
I was found by those who did not seek me.
To a nation that did not call on my name,
I said, ‘Here am I, here am I.’
2. All day long I have held out my hands
to an obstinate people,
who walk in ways not good,
pursuing their own imaginations —
3. a people who continually provoke me
to my very face,
offering sacrifices in gardens
and burning incense on altars of brick;
4. who sit among the graves
and spend their nights keeping secret vigil;
who eat the flesh of pigs,
and whose pots hold broth of impure meat;
5. who say, ‘Keep away; don’t come near me,
for I am too sacred for you!’
Such people are smoke in my nostrils,
a fire that keeps burning all day.

The first settlers arriving on the shores of America were desperate and seeking a new life. Not knowing what the hardships would be, they were Puritan's, Quaker's, , etc., coming with faith, and hope, and determination to create a new life. We know nothing of their hardships, many starved, and suffered illness, facing harsh winter, and unknown threats. The original colonies were barely surviving when the spring came. We know nothing of this our self. We take all the plenty of America for granted, and are not appreciative of the life we have here.
God blessed this land, and the people that were seeking him. We were in such dire straights that we turned to God in need and complete dependence. A real faith builder to see God at work. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lord of All, Thou art Almighty, we look to thee to give comfort, direction, grace, help in time of need, wisdom, and understanding. We pray for the peace of Israel, Jerusalem, for the persecuted believers, the lost, those seeking to know thee and serve thee. For America's restoration, and peace in our land, lead us in thy paths of righteousness, in Jesus name amen.

God is everywhere present, all the time. If we are not experiencing this we are the ones with out understanding, or awareness of the presence of God. Do not think or believe God does not know our innermost thoughts and desires. There are no secrets kept from God Almighty. Since He is our very life breath, let us learn of Him, love him, being thankful of his goodness, mercy, loving kindness, forgiveness, love, grace, and righteousness, and blessings. Forgive us LORD, for our careless attitudes thought out this day. Lead us in the way eternal, with our everlasting Father. We pray for the peace of Israel. Jerusalem, for the persecuted believers, the lost, and for America's peace and restoration of our former values, in Jesus name, amen.
