If the tenets espoused in the Koran were in fact 95% the same as or compatible with Christianity, that 5% definitely includes the parts about enslaving women and killing, converting, or enslaving all non Moslems. that 5% or whatever percentage it might be makes all the difference in the world. The major difference in the effects of Islam and of Christianity(and Buddhism)on civilization are, again, all the difference in the world. There is no civilization possible under Islam so long as there are not large numbers of infidel societies exterior to it to plunder.
