'Tis really funny; I guess we can only talk 'bout "serious news" on the religious forum...

And ya know what, Driftless? We are discussing "serious NEWS" here...

The word "Gospel" comes from the Greek, Euangelion -- meaning "Good NEWS." It is "THE GOOD NEWS" of Jesus Christ...the Son of God who entered time-space as a person, lived the perfect life, we could not; died the death to receive God's wrath and His judgment for OUR sins; and thus, reconciled us to the Father as the Mediator of the New Covenant.

Those, then, who trust the TRUE Jesus Christ in a living relationship that begins on THIS side of death...and know the "ONLY TRUE" God (John 17:3) HAVE eternal life already (John 3:36; 5:24).

That is good news...that is GREAT NEWS!

We are forgiven...We are adopted in Christ...HE is our righteousness (1 Corinthians 1:30) -- the righteousness we could never "earn" or "merit."

This is, indeed, the most serious -- the most sober -- NEWS anyone could ever receive...and share...in the history of ALL the world!

You will drift into death one day, Driftless...as you head toward that encounter with the Living God...please remember this online convo.

For the last time, this was posted (and has always been) in the RELIGION FORUM. Also, religion and faith is SERIOUS NEWS. Perhaps you are unaware that is a PRO-GOD site. That means we have freedom to discuss our faith. You are the one who is out of line and out of sync with this forum. Jim has said over and over again, this is a pro-God site. If you don't like it, take it up with the boss. And I will be praying for your salvation.
