Let’s hear a little bit of what the Nuns of the LCWR will hear during their assembly.
Here is a video of their chosen and honored keynote speaker: Barbara Marx Hubbard.
Try to get through this. Seriously. It is a real education in NunThink.

WOW. Just… WOW.
Snake oil.
Gosh… I wonder why the CDF would be concerned about the LCWR.
Barbara Marx Hubbard is an author, public speaker, social innovator, and president of the Foundation for Conscious Evolution. She has initiated a guided educational program supported by Internet systems called Gateway to Conscious Evolution, offering a new developmental path toward the next stage of human evolution, now reaching over 1000 people.
She is creating a new vehicle, The Communion of Pioneering Souls, to connect the large group of evolving humans now arising in every culture, field, and tradition. She is developing a new series of videos entitled “Humanity Ascending: A New Way through Together.”
As a member of the Jonas Salk Foundation's Epoch B group, Dr. Hubbard is working to understand and catalyze the actions needed to navigate a quantum change to avoid global collapse. She is also working on the synthesis of the principles and practices of Conscious Evolution and New Thought with Reverend Jim Lockard.
She is a founder and member of the Santa Barbara Conscious Evolution Community. She is initiating the SYNCON Process, for synergistic convergence to overcome the polarization in the United States by bringing together opposing groups to seek common goals and match needs and resources in the light of new capacities at the growing edge of the sciences and the psychologies. Her websites are designed to be global communion/communication hubs for the conscious evolution of humanity.
A graduate of Bryn Mawr College with a B.A. cum laude in Political Science, Dr. Hubbard studied at La Sorbonne and L'Ecole des Sciences Politiques in Paris during her junior year. In the 1960's she published one of the first newsletters on evolutionary transformation called The Center Letter in collaboration with Abraham H. Maslow, founder of Humanistic Psychology. She worked closely with Dr. Jonas Salk and was one of the original contributors to the Salk Institute.
In the 1970's she co-founded The Committee for the Future in Washington D.C., which developed the New Worlds Educational and Training Center based on her work. She co-produced 25 SYNCON conferences to bring together people from every field and function to seek common goals and match needs and resources in the light of the growing edge potentials of humanity. She was one of the original directors of the Center for Soviet American Dialogue and served as a citizen diplomat during the late 1980's. She has been instrumental in the founding of many important organizations and initiatives including the World Future Society, New Dimensions Radio, Global Family, Women of Vision and Action, The Foundation for the Future, and the Association for Global New Thought. She was awarded the first Doctorate in Conscious Evolution by Emerson Institute.
Dr. Hubbard's books include Conscious Evolution: Awakening the Power of Our Social Potential, Emergence: The Shift from Ego to Essence, The Evolutionary Journey: Your Guide to a Positive Future, and Revelation: A Message of Hope for the New Millennium.
I posted Hubbard’s bio to an earlier thread but everyone seemed to be more focused on the graphic image of the conference, rather than the speaker.
If I didn't know better, I would guess that this is either a passage from a satirical novel or deliberately planted fabrication to make her look like a deranged hippy.
This is pure gobbledygook.
Oh, and her “Doctorate” is from a New Age diploma mill that has a P.O. Box for an address.
Well, when the bio is filled with stuff like "understand and catalyze the actions needed to navigate a quantum change to avoid global collapse" and "in the light of new capacities at the growing edge of the sciences and the psychologies" and "the Association for Global New Thought" (which actually sounds to me like something from the '30s!), it's hard to comment -- I mean, I know all the words, but put together like that, they don't seem to mean anything!
She must be akin to those feminists who consider logic something to be dismissed as a patriarchal construct! ;-)
We’re just like catz ... any little thing distracts us.
Barbara Marx Hubbard, in her reflections on 2012 and New Beginnings, projects an image of joy and happiness based on her newly discovered personal experiences. In her reflections, she makes the comment: I dont want to die and turn to dust, essentially rejecting Genesis 3:19.Her ramblings deserve a rebuttal and for that, I immediately thought of Ecclesiastes 1:10 Even the thing of which we say, See, this is new! has already existed in the ages that preceded us. I would encourage Barbara to revisit Mark 8:35-36.
She assualted the further reaches of the evolving sickness I get every time I see her.
My universal scale carbon based heavybody almost barfed out my lightbody consciousness due to my forgetting that she doesn't even want to be a Catholic. She is, in fact, the bearer of an evolutionary eye intensely focused on the interior of the rectum within which her heavybody carbon based skull is firmly placed.
These people have to go, soon. They're New Age idiots dedicated to leading people away from Christ rather than to Him.
Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight. ... Isaiah 5:21
Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? ... I Corinthians 1:20
Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. For it is written, He is the one who catches the wise in their craftiness ... I Corinthians 3:18-19
Mz Marx Hubbard epitomizes the foolishness of the world. I couldn't listen beyond a couple of minutes. Does she ever mention God at all? The LCWR is completely nuts. And completely blind to their own folly.
When all is "right" in the world, one has the luxury of evolving into ... whatever this woman has become. I wonder how her 'enlightened' mind would handle a ride in a plane, flown by a terrorist, and on target for some american monument. Would she still be laughing giddily with her new found enlightenment or would she drop to her knees and plead for God's mercy.
13 minutes of meaningless, mindless, inane blather and drivel ...
OBTW ... Hubbard? As in “L. Ron”?
Lol! I had a flashback to Peter, Amy's brother on Everybody Loves Raymond.
Peter operates a comic book store and is heavily into sci-fi. When Ray visits his store in hopes of purchasing a rare collectible card for his 7 y/o daughter, Peter complains about Ray's brother, Robert, who can't seem to commit to his sister Amy. Furious over Robert's dismissal of his sister, Amy, Peter explains to Ray that "When the family told me to up the meds, Amy told me to open this store". Yeah ... I think Barbara Marx Hubbard should open a comic book store to vend her off the wall materials.
Pure | buzzword | humanist | commie | sympathizing | hopey-changy | consciously | purposefully | evolve | , until you too, can have your pie-in-the-sky, | and | eat it too. |
She'll have us know that she spent her junior year at the Sorbonne.
That's right. Say it like you would imagine the Hildabeast saying it...
I must say, BlueDragon, that is one esthetically pleasing post. How did you format it (if I may ask!)?
