Do you want TESTIMONIES from EX-mormons about the effect?
And you are not dealing with the central point, which is, demonstrating how Romney's religious beliefs will interfere with the performance of his duties in a secular job.
Wrong assumption.
We are 'demonstrating' what things his 'church' teaches and what beliefs this man claims.
Do YOU want to vote for the guy; caring ONLY for the SECULAR things or do you want to factor in ETERNAL things?
If you have helped to dissuade people from the false teachings of the Mormon religion, which is a heresy and is wrong on the basic tenets of the Christian faith (the person and work of Christ, the Trinity, etc.)--fine, great, I'm with you. But you are *not* making convincing arguments about why Mormons should be excluded from holding political office. You are *not* being persuasive about why I should not vote for Romney simply because he is a Mormon. Mormonism as a false religion, and individual Mormons serving in political office--those are two different issues.
Do YOU want to vote for the guy; caring ONLY for the SECULAR things or do you want to factor in ETERNAL things?
Yes, actually, I do. For him doing a good job as President, I am only concerned about how well he does at that compared to the other guy (Obama). As far as Romney's eternal salvation, which is an entirely different question, there I would want him to repent of Mormonism's false beliefs and to believe the truth about Christ.
