[ Is it ever explained what she hated about the Catholic church? ]

I’ve been to mass a number of times. It really doesn’t work that way. I believe as the guy earlier said, when/if God wants it to happen, it will.

It’s all about planting seeds in the spirit. Christ will water them.
To: don-o; stpio
With all due respect, my don-o, and after re-reading what stpio wrote, he didn't say anything even remotely suggesting "signs" or a "burning inthe bosom." He said you would be "changed."
This experesses --- if I am understanding correctly --- the same promise as "Ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened unto you." --- An old and trusted saying.

No, but you could just read the story rather than keeping asking these questions.
To: stuartcr
Rather than ask the same question multiple times, why don’t you just read the article and see for yourself?
To: Anitius Severinus Boethius
I’d rather ask. It’s faster and less likely to misinterpretation.

Asking a starnger to tell you what an article says rather than reading the article yourself leads to lower levels of misinterpretation? Very odd.
To: Anitius Severinus Boethius
I like to get different views. Besides, I wouldn’t say freepers are strangers, we’re al freeper brothers aren’t we? Of course, you could have just said no when I asked if she gave a reason.
