I initially thought this was a good thing, then I read that the parish she's heading to is liberal. From the fire into the frying pan, instead of jumping to safety in a conservative parish

But she got the kid out. Lib Catholic is better than daddy’s deal. Who knows, they still do the readings God’s Word is power.

Well good for Katy.
Should have had better sense than to get mixed up with a nut job from that cult.

For the love of God, it’s at least a Catholic Church! She and her daughter are out of Scientology, which is great.

A lot of people would say my parish is “liberal,” but it has us in it, and a lot of others who are serious about faith and morals and accurate catechesis. And everyone is fervent in good works. I took a batch of kids to Mass today, just because I felt like it, and Father was late because he was visiting a nursing home. We all - 35 people or so - sang hymns for half an hour until he arrived to say Mass. It was lovely, almost like being Presbyterian again, but for the absence of 4-part harmony.
I hope the parish will help Katie Holmes remember what it was like to be a regular person, and expose her daughter to normal life for the first time.

When the choir member quoted in the article said Katie hasn’t yet attended “services”, I suspected this is a liberal parish.
*sigh* Well, we must thank God for this conversion anyway & pray that she continues to seek the fullness of Truth.

Is Scientology liberal? I’ve read some about it and I still don’t get it.

It makes me wonder what happened with Cruise and/or Scientology. I can't jut see him, so quickly, letting Suri go, his own daughter basically leaving his cult! Holmes better be careful.
To: Cronos
She must have had a lot on him to get the child free from scientology

Part of the divorce settlement precludes the couples daughter, Suri, from being exposed to Scientology at all. Under terms of the settlement, Suri isnt permitted to be exposed to anything Scientology related and this includes going to any Scientology churches, parties, etc. Katie made sure that this was ironclad in the agreement, a source told RadarOnline.Very wise.

How about we each stop and say a prayer for Tom Cruise.
It could happen, his return to the faith. I hope it does.
Am I correct, Tom didn’t have a very good father?

So like being banned from Scientology is a bad thing? Sounds like a blessing in disguise.
