If there is a wedding in a christian church ANYONE can attend because the beliefs are open and there is nothing to hide. If there is a wedding at the mormon temple ONLY mormans can attend and nobody else, how do they know if you’re morman? is there a secret handshake? a secret password?

You only get one if your bishop and stake president (think priest and bishop for Catholics) determine you are worthy through interviews and donations to the LDS church, and then you can only attend the wedding if you have been married in the temple yourself - otherwise no dice.
