TORRANCE, Calif., June 7, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- There are more than a dozen key differences in the beliefs of Christians and Mormons, yet most Christians have no idea.
In a recent article in the Christian magazine, World, author Joel Belz made this statement:
"A huge majority of the American public has no idea what Mormons claim to believe. If those holding to the Mormon faith were to place their distinctive truth claims front and center, the public response would be probing, negative, and nasty." -- World Magazine, God's World Publications, online June 16, 2012 edition (Vol. 27, No. 12)
For starters, official Mormon teachings include the belief that God the Father was once a man who progressed to godhood and that worthy men may one day become gods themselves.
On the topic of Jesus, official Mormon doctrine holds that Jesus' death on the cross did not provide full atonement for all sin. There is no concept of the Trinity. Rather, Mormonism is polytheistic, having multiple gods.
Everyone -- whether you are religious or just curious -- should know the differences. A free side-by-side comparison chart showing differences between Mormonism and Christianity is available as a free download for your computer or iPad. It can be printed for personal or group use. This objective chart simple compares the beliefs of Mormonism and Christianity in eight key areas.

URGENT!
Fellow MORMON Freeper Christians!!
Hot diggity dog; our boy has MADE it!!
Now beware; for the media is gonna be on us like... well; you know the saying.
I've been getting lots of feedback from those of you on Free Republic (spit) about a certain COLORFORNKIAN(or something like that), who is REALLY giving us a hard time there!
Why not try to point out to the uninformed how OBSESSED he seems to be.
Let's see if we can tangle him up so much trying to defend his reputation
that he'll no longer have as much time to post facts about MORMONism.
As always, Tommy M.
(Keep pressing that we are CHRISTIAN and avoid anything MORMON like the DEVIL!!)

My question to the Mommon haters, and it think it's a fair question because FREE REPUBLIC is a political forum: Will you be voting for Obama because Romney is a Mormon? Well; since you put it THIS way, you'll receive NO answers.
There are NO MORMON haters on this thread.
Howereve, there are, evidently, DECIEVED MORMONs that are posting.

Colofornian has increased her attacks on Mormonism since Romney became the preemptive candidtate; going so far as to post the same articles more than once. So; it is MUCH better to have about 50,000 salesmen pounding the streets, REPEATING THE SAME MESSAGE, than a poor, trolling CHRISTIAN, pounding the keyboard more than once.
You see to have some strange ideas about fairness.

Mormons carry a temple recommend in their wallets, and deem it a sacred document. What a LIE!
It is no more sacred than my Visa card!
The foolish MORMONs that have bought into this, canNOT find, in ANY of their so called 'scripture', any mention ANY of the stolen MASONIC rituals that take place in their 'temples'.
It is MAN MADE - not GOD GIVEN.

The Flying Inmans merged together as a force against the proselytizing of mormonism on FR,
along with the entry of Romney into the presidential race.
The Inmans have posted warnings again and again regarding the theocratic goals of mormonism....What the world calls Mormonism will rule every nation...God has decreed it, and his own right arm will accomplish it. This will make the heathen rage. (Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p. 53) and I personally have questioned Romney's oath to put the mormon church over and above "everything he has or ever will have" as noted here:
You and each of you covenant and promise before God, angels, and these witnesses at this altar, that you do accept the Law of Consecration as contained in the Doctrine and Covenants, in that you do consecrate yourselves, your time, talents, and everything with which the Lord has blessed you, or with which he may bless you, to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for the building up of the Kingdom of God on the earth and for the establishment of Zion."
Those who once labored with us to battle against the mormon goals and NOW are choosing to aid these goals and denigrating those of us who are being true to the our beliefs are no longer on the roster of the Flying Inmans.
Romney's goal of attaining the position of "most powerful man in the world" while having taken the oath listed above, makes his candidacy fair game on the Religion Forum, like it or not.

You failed to notice that I referred to ‘modern MormonISM’, as in the LDS inc followerrs who are nearly clueless to the historic teachings of their cult, so they are not trying to overthrow the US government as Joey and Bringam did. Are we not trying to reach the alive Mormons? Would we not deem the alive Mormons adherents of ‘modern MormonISM’?

But I do not believe that being LDS, by itself, should be a disqualification for our voting for president. How about being STUPID?
Would THAT do it?
I do NOT want someone so easily deceived leading MY NAtion!
What are the Soviets up to NOW?
Why have the Chinese taken over Manila?

Is the Living Prophet RIGHT this time??
In conclusion let us summarize this grand key, these Fourteen Fundamentals in Following the Prophet, for our salvation depends on them.
1. The prophet is the only man who speaks for the Lord in everything. 2. The living prophet is more vital to us than the standard works. 3. The living prophet is more important to us than a dead prophet. 4. The prophet will never lead the church astray. 5. The prophet is not required to have any particular earthly training or credentials to speak on any subject or act on any matter at any time. 6. The prophet does not have to say Thus Saith the Lord, to give us scripture. 7. The prophet tells us what we need to know, not always what we want to know. 8. The prophet is not limited by mens reasoning. 9. The prophet can receive revelation on any matter, temporal or spiritual. 10. The prophet may advise on civic matters. 11. The two groups who have the greatest difficulty in following the prophet are the proud who are learned and the proud who are rich. 12. The prophet will not necessarily be popular with the world or the worldly. 13. The prophet and his counselors make up the First Presidencythe highest quorum in the Church. 14. The prophet and the presidencythe living prophet and the First Presidencyfollow them and be blessedreject them and suffer.
I testify that these fourteen fundamentals in following the living prophet are true. If we want to know how well we stand with the Lord then let us ask ourselves how well we stand with His mortal captainhow close do our lives harmonize with the Lords anointedthe living ProphetPresident of the Church, and with the Quorum of the First Presidency.

It is a good idea to put the date of a JofD quote when quoting the LDS inc archives. That way the modern mormonism is more in focus. I doubt seriously that every eighteen year old who is inducted into the LDS inc 'melchizedek high priesthood' has even a clue what that Preisthood means, Biblically, or that even having such a priesthood in LDS inc is blasphemous because of Whom IS the ONLY Great High Priest int he order of Melchizedek because He is alive forever more.
Modern MormonISM is hallmarked by clueless adherents, else when we expose the actual teachings of the ealier leadership the clueless adherents probably would not become so enraged at us for exposing the truth about the cult's origins.

Unless we are trying to convert them, what does it matter what Mormons believe? I guess it only matters if a person is going to end up in the ONLY 'level' of Heaven mentioned in the bible; NOT one of the THREE levels that MORMONism has invented.
